Okay,so over the past weeks we held a thread so that people could rant about issues.Whether it was to do with family, friends, school, wattpad, etc. we were there to assist!

Comment if you agree or disagree with any of the rants you're about to read! xoxo- Hayley

rant: Why do people want to look like Barbie dolls, I mean the company should make them fatter and more ugly , they totally wreck girls self esteem. If they did make them more ugly and fatter would another company seize the opportunity to make a new brand of barbie, would girls still follow Barbie's trend or would they run around like headless chickens with no fashion guru to consult? by @0whisful_thinking0

- When people make boyfriend/girlfriend threads, it isn't match.com

- When people make threads for attention. Ex: I'm pregnant at 15.

- When people make follow for follow threads.

unoriginality

bad writing but a gazillion reads (I feel like people nowadays only like books if they are easy to read and don't require any actual thinking and effort and trying to find symbolism and such)

eleven year old writing sex stories

People saying that they edited their story but still finding a bazillion mistakes on it (like if you didn't edit it just say you didn't and if you did edit it well then you need grammar lessons)

The main guy character having dark hair and blue eyes.

Ian Somerhalder as the main character

People meeting the love of their lives at a coffee shop on a rainy day while listening to Lana Del Rey and reading a freaking John Green book ( I love Starbucks so so much but why does everyone suddenly have to meet the love of their life there? And I like John Green but he's not the best author out there. And Lana Del Rey's music isn't even that good).

Crappy covers on popular stories (maybe it's just me but if you really care about your story you want it to have at least a nice-ish cover. Not something that was clearly made on pic monkey and has disgusting color combinations. Idk but I get appalled when I see popular stories with bad covers. Like idk about anyone else but one of the first things I notice about the story are the cover and title. It's kind of like a house. If I enter a house that is nicely kept, I will most likely assume that the person is a neat person that likes their house and thinks highly of it. Again maybe it's just me) by @_deliriosity

Those "I'm a guy. Wanna chat?" thread discussions. No it's not the guy I'm irritated about. It's about the girls who just went in and post before a minute or two, and then all of them would start going in that thread discussion blah blah blah and it will have like a lot of posts e.e

Hehe I just think it's irritating lol ^^V

Also some threads that say "I need guy friends!" or something...

so... yeah >. by @reaching_high

The media is extremely stupid and insensitive. They brainwash kids into thinking there are some people that are absolutely perfect and have exciting lives, and that the reader or watcher is abnormal and is boring. Girls complain about how they are too fat, how they are ugly, how their lives are so boring all because of the stupid media.

Although the media may not realize it, their messages get into people's heads. Now, people think that they have to buy the product to become the promoter. One study reports that at age thirteen, 53% of American girls are "unhappy with their bodies." This grows to 78% by the time girls reach seventeen. The media makes people feel so bad about themselves.

And it is not just the news or the magazines. TV shows also show the characters making fun of another character just for looking different, But we all are different aren't we? But since we were little, a preconceived notion of what is pretty and what is not has been put into our heads, No matter how many people complain that we shouldn't be affected by these things, the messages still get to us.

Last but not least, photoshopping, They put false expectations in peoples heads, when most of the time, the image they perceive is not even physically possible. Even after people had raised questions about this, many companies continued to follow photoshopping. What is the need to photoshop in the first place? We are fine the way we are, and there is no need to change that.

I just hate when these nine and ten year olds have an iPhone, fancy missme jeans, parents that aren't divorced, a nice home, food, and yet, they have a "boyfriend" who "cheats", or "breaks up with them", and they think their life is over. Like, no. You're life seems amazing. And you're ten. You don't even need a boyfriend. You're going to forget about this in like two days so shut up. And why would a ten year old even need an iPhone? Seriously? Go play with your barbies. Go outside. Read a book. That's what I had to do when I was that age. Yeah I had a phone when I was that age but it was a stupid little flip phone for emergencies only and I thought that was the best thing ever! And since when does a baby, not even two years old need an iPod? My baby cousin has an iPod. I didn't get one until I was like 10!!

We need to appreciate what we have and not take anything for granted because we never know when we're going to lose it.

And also we need to learn how to act our age. No ten year old needs a boyfriend. I don't care who you are. by @preciousthaunicorn

There is many things I hate. The word that sums most of them up is this: stupidity. I absolutely loathe stupidity. I don't mind the friend kind of stupidity, where we all act like complete nutcases, because that's actually pretty awesome. I'm talking about the stupidity where people believe in things that cannot exist; where they listen to everything the media says and believes it etc. You know what I'm talking about.

Its annoys the hell out of me. The amount of arguments I have gotten into over the existence of vampires is amazing. Some of them were even here on Wattpad, which I believe is (mostly) filled with intelligent and respectable people.

I lost faith in humanity's smarts ages ago.

Onto another rant.

'Popularity'

Everybody knows what I'm talking about here. Those kids who everybody wants to be friends with for some strange reason, but these people are actually bullies and idiots. They don't deserve ANY friends.

I hate bullying, which makes me hate these people who proclaim themselves as 'popular' as well. I have never been bullied myself, but I have friends who are, and they are all really nice people. THEY are the ones that deserve to be popular.

They also only hang around with those they deem 'cool'. I hang around with everybody. I'm friends with everybody. I'm kind to everybody, even if I don't particularly like that person. It can't be that hard to just act nice every once in a while, can it?

I earned my friends with kindness (and a whole lot of jokes), not with bullying. And whaddya know? Almost everybody likes me (but you can't really hate the kid who helps you with your work).

Social hierarchies should not exist. Everybody should try to get along with everybody, or if they don't like that person, treat them with a certain modicum of respect. by @JWGduggan
