Pumikit lang ako pero kelangan ko na talaga umamin sa kanya. Patulog na yung tao pero kelangan ko na talaga umamin.

Den: Patch, can we talk?
Polly: mmm
Den: are you sober enough to talk to me?
Polly: yes

Mag katabi pa din kami sa kama. Tumagilid ako para makita ko sya.

Den: Patch. Please look at me.

Dahan dahan naman nyang iminulat ang mga mata nya.

Polly: yes?

Den: Patch, what are we?
Polly: hmm?

Nakita ko na lumaki ng kaunti yung mata nya. Nagulat ata sa tanong ko.

Polly: what do you mean what are we?
Den: ano ba tayo Polly?
Polly: we're good friends! Why ba?
Den: nothing more than that?
Polly: huh?
Den: I mean, hanggang friends na lang tayo?
Polly: wait, so you're telling me that...
Den: yes.

Napapikit na lang ako sa reaction nya. Pinipigilan kong maiyak pero nararamdaman ko na tutulo na ang luha ko anytime.

Tumayo naman sya sa kama at naramdaman ko na nag lalakad lakad sya.

Polly: Den, you like me?

Umupo ako sa kama at sumandal sa headboard. Naka yuko ako.

Den: yes. What's not to like about you?
Polly: oh God. I never saw this coming. Oh gosh.
Den: why are you acting this way?!

Natigilan naman siya at nilapitan ako. Niyakap nya ako.

Polly: I'm sorry I freaked out on you. I'm sorry Den. I didn't know you liked me. I'm sorry.

Umiyak lang ako sa balikat nya.

Den: why are you sorry?
Polly: because I can't give you the love that you deserve Den. I'm not the one who's gonna give you what you need because I can't like you back.
Den: why?

Polly: why? Because I'm damaged Den. I don't think I am capable of loving someone whole heartedly. I wasn't my old self who is sensitive enough and doesn't have a rock solid heart. My old self would know that you like me but I won't because I'm too manhid Den. I'm too manhid for you.

Den: but I never knew the old you thus I fell in love with you.

Polly: what did you see in me?

Den: You're seriously asking me that? Okay. You may think of yourself as an ordinary person but you are not. You are saying that you are manhid. Yes it is true that you're manhid pero sa love lang. Anything outside that area, you are not manhid. Polly, what's not to like about you? Even without being a supremo. Strip down everything you got and I would still fall in love with you. I know you're tired of hearing how wonderful of a person you are but please believe me Pols. You are wonderful. Everybody knows that. But why wouldn't you believe us? Everything you do makes me fall and I fell hard. I fell hard for you even though you don't love yourself and even though you think of yourself as damaged.

Polly: I'm sorry if this will hurt but I don't want you to be hurt Den. I promised you that I'll do anything so that you won't get hurt but I'm the one who's hurting you right now. I'm sorry that you fell in love with me. If I lead you to this, I'm sorry. I never thought you'll fall for me. I'm sorry for giving you false hopes and sorry for saying this to you now. I vow to never break your heart but I can feel it as it shatters right now. I'm sorry Den. I'm sorry I can't love you back. Never think that you're not enough Den. Because you are more than enough. And I can't handle it. You are God damn gorgeous and I'm looking at your eyes as I say this. You're a dime and you should be treasured but I'm the one who's breaking you. I'm sorry.
