My mind rolls on and on;
From home to school to meaningless names and faces.
As I stand here
I hear a jumble of words that make no sense.
As I stand here
Attempting be the word to listen.
As I stand here
My own words a constant, annoying drip of water.
As I stand here
My thoughts racing on 'what ifs'.
As I stand here
Attempting to hear the right lesson.
As I stand here
Irritated by those who joke.
As I stand here
Hoping someone, anyone will understand.
As I stand here
Angry beyond measure as they talk as if they understand.
As I stand here
wishing for help.
As I stand here
These "stupid" "ugly" things in my ears.
As I stand here
People stand over there judging me.
As I stand here
Knowing they will never understand.
As I stand here
My hearing horrible without some help.
As I stand here
With hearing aids;
Doing what I can't.
As I stand here
Strong and proud because they will only get so far denying.
As I stand here stubborn yet resilient.
As I stand here
Basking in my differences.
As I stand here
Their thoughts will never matter.
As I stand here
Thier judgement passes in one bad ear throughout the other one.
As I stand here
Not giving a care to their words.
As I stand here
You stand over there.
As long as I stand here
Not a thing is wrong with me, it's only you who judges.
I deal with it daily... People think they understand but they don't... They pity me but I refuse to accept their pity because I'm to strong to give up. As long as their mouths throw up garbage they will never understand....
