Hey guys! Hope you had a nice Easter. I'm really stressed because I have 10 exams this week, which also means I probably won't update much. I hope you like the new chapter! Xx

Aly's POV

The voice had been the only thing that has been on my mind.

Everything started from then.

Apparently I died, and then was brought back to life.

It must have been the lady who warned me.

It must have been Isabelle.

When you've used it, it will stay with you forever. The magic, probably. Demi told me, once you've used your powers, they'll never go away.

You can't fight what's inside of you. You need to learn to deal with it. Was she talking about my feelings? Feelings against her? Jacob? The Royals?

And then, Find them and bring back the peace, she said. Why did she have to be so mysterious? And how was I supposed to bring back the peace? How would I do that, when even worlds strongest witch failed?

She did tell me she'd be with me. Well, easy for her to say. She left me centuries ago and now, when she needs me, she's all with me. Mother of the year.

"I feel some anger in the air. Am I right?" Christina walked into the room.

"What?", I snitched, immediately feeling guilty when I saw it was her. "I'm sorry. My fault."

"Don't worry about that. Let's get started. I'll teach you some simple spells. We need to start somewhere, don't we?"

I got excited immediately and jumped up from my chair. "Really? That's so cool! So, what are you gonna teach me?"

"Let's begin with something fun. You ever let something fly?"

It was already late in the evening when we stopped practicing. By now, I could let stuff fly, let things disappear and appear again, and I could stop things from moving for some time, so it would look like I stopped the time.

"You're a natural, really. You were very great."

"Thank you, it's all because of you, to be honest."

She smiled. "You're really sweet. And smart. Do me a favor, darling. Never when you try to help others, forget about yourself."

I nodded. "I won't, I promise."

Evan and Gina got into the room. "It's time to go back, Al."

"I know", I said, then I turned at Christina and Laressa. "Thank you, both. I hope I can see you again soon. And thanks for the book, these spells will be practiced a lot, for sure."

"No problem, darling. We'll see you soon. Now hurry, or you'll be late."

I waved one more time and suddenly, I was back in my room in the Royals mansion.

Suddenly, Demi and Nick ran into my room.

"Did you not hear us? We were calling for you like crazy!" Nick said, clearly not amused.

Before I could speak, Demi stopped me. "You", she pointed at me. "My study. Now."

Her brown eyes were full of anger and disappointment. I felt so misbehaved, but very strong too. Not really the perfect combination when a mad Royal is coming after you.

I knew better than to argue so I just did what I was told.

I hadn't even sat down when Demi stormed in.

"You get one chance to be honest with me. Where have you been?"

I didn't speak for a moment and looked over at Demi.

She looked stern and raised an eyebrow at me.

"I... went out."

Clearly, that was not what she wanted to hear.

Her hands hit the desk hard what made me shiver. She didn't seem to mind.

"I went to a village. Here nearby. I just wanted to get out of the house, get some fresh air. You may be reuniting vampires and witches all day, I'm still figuring out what the hell is going on, because you and Nick clearly don't tell me the whole thing." I sounded angrier than I intended, but right now I didn't care, at all.

She seemed a little taken back by my outburst, but that didn't stop her from yelling back at me. "There has been only one thing on my mind this whole week, young lady, and that is your safety. So excuse me for not telling you everything, I was too busy killing threatening vampires. The Royals are doing everything to keep you safe, but you don't seem to care about that, do you?"

I just looked at her, not saying anything.

I tried to tell myself this argument wasn't worth any of my words.

I failed, way too soon.

"Let's be honest, Demetria. Last time the Royals did such thing, it didn't really work out either, did it?"

Before Demi's hand could hit my cheek, I froze the moment, just like Christina taught me.

Somehow, Demi was just as surprised at me.

She, for realizing I could use some of my magic.

Me, for realizing the spell had absolutely no effect on her.

"How...?" We said in unison.

"Just visiting a village nearby, huh?" She said.

I looked at her. "Witches, they taught me how to use some spells."

Demi just nodded, to my surprise. "Fine", she said. "I guess it's time you learn how to use your magic. But...", she added, "before we go there, I need to show you something, so you'll understand it all."

"What?" I asked.

"Your mothers spell book. I guess it's time the most powerful witch learns about her power. But promise me you won't use any dangerous spells before you turn eighteen, without me knowing."

"I promise, Demi. You have my word."
