I woke up. My eyes were still wet from crying. I noticed I was barely covered. I had gained my witch powers, and I had been transformed into a vampire. My teeth still hurt.

"This will be the most painful part. Since it's your first time, you'll slowly transition into a wolf. How are you doing so far?" Nick said.

It took me a lot of effort to even speak right now. "The pain.. I can't take it anymore." I felt like I was continually dying, which in fact I was.
"I showed you all I had on Isabelle. Pl- please help m-me?"

He sighed, then bit his wrist. "There you go." Without doubting and being scared to hurt him, I tried to drink as much of his blood as I could. "Slow down, honey. I don't want you to become too attached to me."

"Let me do the rest, she's used to be around me." Demi interrupted.

"She told me she couldn't even recognize you after your bond was gone." Nick told her.

I was mentally slapping him in the face.

"Just give her to me. You're only jealous because she's trusted me better than you."

Before I knew it, I got another wrist pushed into my mouth. I could easily recognize Demi's, blood, which I thought was kind of weird.

I was still drinking when I felt the pain immensely. "I'm dying again."

"Just one more time, baby girl. After this one, never again." Demi whispered in my ear.

I felt everything getting tighter, as if my body didn't fit into my skin anymore.

I screamed as hard as I could when I felt my body transform.

In the reflection of the mirror I saw Demi holding a little white grey wolf.

It took me a second to realize that was me.

It frightened me. Now how did I change back?

I didn't have any energy left, all what I was able to do was close my eyes and fall asleep.

"She's already getting a little warmer. She really needs to rest for now."

I opened my eyes slowly to see a doctor talking to Daniel.

As soon as I could I closed them again, afraid he would have noticed me waking up.

I could hear footsteps going away, and I couldn't help but peek.

He scared me as I found him standing at the end of the bed staring at me.

"Oh, so now you're stalking me?"

He ignored me and just kept staring.

"The night, just before you changed you told me something."

I looked at him. "What?"

"You said you could travel in time. You meant going back in time, I suppose."

"Maybe, why?"

"I've seen every visit of Isabelle. In none of those she ever told you how you could. The book she had told you about it a big aspect of it, that I know, but you'll need a very difficult spell to use it correctly."

"I don't know. Maybe she was going to pay me another visit. You know, before you guys scared her off."

He shrugged his shoulders, obviously it was still on his mind.

"Yeah, maybe. You should rest now. You're in the Royals mansion, it's safe here."

I just nodded, not really in the mood to become best friends with the man I hated.

"Great. Bye."

He left the room and I snug out of bed. There were many windows so I had an amazing view.
I could see it wasn't far from the sea. It was strange how no one was out there, especially since the weather was perfect.

I opened one of the windows, just to get some fresh air. It felt great, thinking about home again. About the moment me and my friends came up with that stupid plan that changed everything. I couldn't help but wonder how things would've turned out if we didn't go to that camp.

I thought about Emma. I thought about going back in time, change the past and bring all of them back. Their lives were in my hands now, I could save them.

I hadn't noticed Demi got in the room as I turned around. "You can't save them, I'm sorry. Once people die, they'll always be dead. You can go and spend time but they'll always die the same moment. There's no going changing that."

I nodded, then I walked over to her. Everything suddenly went through my mind. It was too much. I couldn't handle it anymore. Ever since I woke up I didn't feel the same. Every feeling was stronger. The sadness became unbearable. I fell into her arms and she caught me, she held me tightly and I closed my eyes. I could feel her warmth against my body. For a moment I felt safe again, loved again. Just then I felt her grip on me loosen. "You have to let go of me, you're old enough now."

"So this is it then? You've seen what has happened, it wasn't much. Now you need me gone?"

I was sitting on the bed now, she was standing a little further.

"Exactly. I suggest you catch the next flight back home."

I sighed. "Back to New York."

I thought about it. For the last five months, ever since the camp, I've dreamt about going back home. It was New York where I grew up. It was where I said goodbye to my parents when they left for Amsterdam. I knew all to well it was the blood that made me not want to go. But I knew I wanted it, this might be the only chance I get to go away, leave this world behind me.

"I'll be ready at seven. Meet me outside."

She left and I looked at my bags. They were all still packed. I brought them downstairs and decided to make one last walk.

It was already getting dark when Demi walked over to me. She handed me a picture of us at the beach. It was the same picture Evan had once showed me. "Whatever you're planning on doing, don't forget we know everything."

"You once said to me I'd be your little girl until I'd turn 18."

I knew she remembered when she smiled. Which stopped when I told her,

"I'm glad that time's gone."
