A young woman was touching my forehead, making sure I wasn't burning up. I quickly sat up straight and looked around me. The room I was laying in was dark and big, black curtains covering the windows.

"Where are we?" I asked Isabelle, who had just walked into the room. She was dressed like a queen, a dark one. Her lips were red, the brightest ones I'd ever seen.

"Why won't I give you back your memories and you'll know everything again. After all, a deal is a deal."

"Speaking of which, I just gave up my only way of becoming a great witch in St. Aracerth."

"You don't have to worry about any of that. You're the daughter of world's most powerful witch", Isabelle said, I'll make sure you know everything without being burdened with time schedules and ignorant Royals."

I gave her a forced smile. "Can't wait."

I sat down on the couch in Isabelle's office, waiting for her to start the spell.

"I must warn you, whatever happens, don't pass out or die."

"Thanks, real motherly advice, what could I do without it?"

I felt pain shiver through my body.

"Ouch", I mumbled, "just start the spell already."

"I need to prepare this one carefully. Could you not-"

"Aren't you world's most powerful witch, what is taking you so long?"

She tilted my head with two fingers, making me face her. "If you want to start now so badly, I can also skip the preparation. Is that what you want?"

I tried to make her let go of my head but she only grabbed me firmer.

"I said, is that what you want?"

I shook my head, then she let go of me. "Good, now sit down and stay quiet."

I got my phone and looked at the time, it was a quarter after three in the morning. My body felt sleepy and I could barely keep my eyes open. I noticed it had been the adrenaline that had kept me going but I couldn't feel more tired now.

"It's okay, you can lay down if you want. I'm almost done anyway." Isabelle said.

"No, I'm fine."

"Whatever you want."

Before I could answer that, Isabelle caught me and put me on her bed.

"Why doesn't this stubbornness surprise me?" She whispered, then I heard her starting the spell.

I could feel that my body was in some sort of trance. My head was aching but I didn't mind. What was far more important was the fact that I was traveling in time. I could see my four year old self stand next to Ian, demanding him to pick me up and let me fly, which he did. Before I could see more, everything started to happen really fast and suddenly I was around the age of six. I was leaving the Royal mansion with Ian, flying to New York where nobody would recognize me. I watched myself grow up, I watched as Demi travelled to our home to make me believe my parents had died. I watched my whole childhood, how I cried nights about how lonely I felt, and how miserable. I saw a few glimpses of me and Nate, ones from my last travel, I saw the heated conversation between Nate and Ian. I saw my meeting with Isabelle and at that moment, I started gaining every memory I shared with her, from the moment she sent me away a hundred years ago, to the times she had brought me to sleep in New York. She had always been there, she had just wiped my memory every time she had visited me.
