I walked to the little school down the road. I was searching for Evan. I wanted to say goodbye to him and Gina before I left again.
I noticed Evan ending his lesson and when all the kids got out of the room, I entered."Hey, can I talk to you about something?" It was fun to see him as a teacher in front of a class.
He quickly grabbed his keys. "Why don't we go outside and take a walk?"
I smiled. "Sounds great."
——"Wait a minute. A school for magic? That's not just any school, you know. Only the best witches get to go to St. Aracerth. It's known as the academy of the arcane."
He was all excited but deep down I didn't care about it all that much. It was a great way to finally meet some new people. I need some time away from the Royals who were getting on my nerves all day. I haven't been feeling all that great lately and maybe some time away would change that. "What do you know about the school?"
He shrugged. "No one knows much about it. Just that the most powerful witches went there."
I nodded. "Well, I'm leaving very soon. In fact, I'll be late now anyway. They said it was three days of traveling."
"And a simple spell won't get you there?"
"Obviously not. So we're taking the car. Demi, Daniel and Thomas are coming along. By the way, Peter arrived last night. I think he'll be around here for a while. Didn't really seem like he was leaving any time soon."
I got a text from Demi, telling me to come back.
"I'm going to miss you though", he said.
I hugged him. "I'll come and visit you whenever I can. Say goodbye to Gina for me, will you?"
"Will do. Don't forget to have a good time, I bet there are great people there."
"I'll let you know." With that, I hurried back to the mansion where they were waiting for me. They had already packed the car and I saw Nick standing in the doorway talking to them.
"You're gonna miss me?" I smirked.
"For that, you'll have to make an impression on me first."
"Good thing I did."
He kissed my cheek. "Just go already and use your charms on the teachers there. You might need it."
"No sleeping with teachers", I heard Daniel say.
I smirked at them, "Jealous, are we?"
"Protective", Thomas said. "At least, it's a nicer word for, what do you call it?"
"Rules." Demi and Daniel said. That made me giggle.
————We've been driving for what felt like hours and I was starting to feel tired and hungry.
"Can we make a stop for food? I'm starving."
"You ate a large meal like an hour ago."
Demi looked at me via the mirror, then I heard my stomach growling and so did she. "Fine, I'll stop at the next station."
When she'd parked I got out to get us all some food. It was great to breath in some fresh air. I got all of us a sandwich and a diet coke.
