"Where have you been?" Alex demands once I step into our room.

"I've been with Justin," I answer slowly.

"Why? He's no good. Dump that son of a bitch," Alex says annoyed running a hand through his hair.

"Alex, don't talk about Jason's boyfriend like that," my dad says furrowing his eyebrows.

"You guys don't know what you're talking about," Alex grunts as he goes to his bed.

"What's up with him? I thought he liked Justin?" Dad asks.

"I'm sure he still does," I lie.

I take off my shoes and jump next to where John was watching tv.

"What'd you guys eat for lunch?" I ask.

"We haven't had it yet," John replies yawning.

"So Justin knows I like him," I say out of the blue.

John looks at me baffled and sits up.

"What did he say?" John asks.

"He rejected me like I thought he would," I answer shrugging.

"Man, he's dumb for not accepting you."

"I know right? Who wouldn't want to be with me?" I say chuckling.

"Heck, I would date you if you didn't have a snake for a pet."

I burst out laughing, and John tells me to shut up because my grandma is sleeping.

"Why doesn't anyone like Charlie?" I pout.

"Not true. Kendall does."

"I miss Kendall. I wish I could like her instead of Justin."

"But she's only fifteen."

"True."

"So what are you gon' do?"

"About what?"

"About Justin and you."

"Oh, I thought we were done talking about that. Uh, I don't know man. What should I do?"

"Make him jealous," John says in a duh voice.

"I'll pass."

"Whatever you say. If you're not taking my suggestion, what are you gon' do?"

"Make him fall for me."

"How?"

"With my charisma, I'll leave him begging for more."
