Heidi and I got ready in dark clothes late and headed to a park. We were tracking the friend.

"Here, take this, it's a letter for Valerie. Let's see how she handles both Heidi and Sara's death in a note." The mystery person handed another person a note.

"From the friend?" They asked.

"I am the friend, obviously." The shadow sighed.

Heidi sneaked up behind the mysterious person and tackled them. I went behind the other and pulled the hood off as Heidi did the same. Revealing the friend and their letter carrier.

"Max!" Heidi held onto his hood still. This is what I couldn't believe, that Max was the Friend and that Josh was the messenger.

"You killed Sara!" I tried to adjust to this reality.

"She knew who I was, and now you know. I'm going to have to kill you." Max pulled a gun out his pocket and aimed it at me.

"Put it down." Heidi pointed a gun at Max, making Josh point his gun at Heidi and Me point my gun at Josh.

"Freeze!" Carter and Violet ran out of a cop car in police uniforms. I had no idea they worked for the police.

"You guys work for the police?" I asked weirdly.

"We were going to tell you but forgot."  Violet pulled her gun out. Carter stood behind her with a gun as well.

"Val, you okay?" Carter rushed over to me and hugged me.

"I'm fine. Just Arrest them." I back away. Violet pulled handcuffs out and clipped them on to Max. While, Carter did the same to Josh.

Then, Heidi fall to the ground crying,
"My life is... messed up."

"Why?" Violet put her gun away.

"Max, was my friend and now he tried to kill us all. It's like I can't trust anyone." She brushed her hair back and sobbed.

Carter finished putting Max and Josh into the cop car and had the driver or the other cop take them to the police station.

"Your safe now." He kissed me and gave me a hug.
