Y/N sat against the window, her head rested on the window, tears rolled down her cheeks.

She'd forgotten just how many days it had been since she broke up with her boyfriend; Brad, she was sure that if she logged onto twitter, his fans would be able to tell her but she was smart enough to know that twitter or any social media platforms wasn't something that she needed in her life right now.

Rain drops drizzled down the glass pane as she just sat and watched the world rush past.
Her phone buzzed from beside her but she just ignored it, pushing it aside. Pushing people away was something Y/N had become really good at these past few weeks, she just felt lost, like there was a huge hole smack bang in the middle of her chest, he was her other half, her soul mate and just like that, he was gone. After one stupid fight.

"Hey, Y/N?" She looked at the door where her parents stood, quickly wiping tears away, she shot them a smile.

"How are you holding up today?" Her mum asked, walking further into the room, "Feeling up to going to college yet?"

Y/N looked at her and then at her dad for a few minutes, holding her stare before slowly nodding, maybe going back was a great idea. Take her mind off of things.

"Sure," she whispered, although, she was surprised they heard it as she could hardly hear herself. "I'll go back."

Y/N walked through her campus building, trying to ignore the stares of the people around her, they all knew - of course they did.
If they were around on social media or read any kind of trashy gossip magazine, they would know that it's been everywhere, she wished that it wasn't.

Walking into her first lecture, she felt her insides turn when Wake Up was playing on the radio, a small gasp left her lips which made everyone turn and look at her before her lecturer rushed to turn it off, sending her an apologetic smile.

Getting through the day was hard, going from lecture to lecture, putting on a good front and laughing along with her friends' jokes. She couldn't lie, she'd missed all of the people that she'd ended up pushing away but seeing people was so hard, everything seemed to reminder her of HIM, of them.

"I'll see you tomorrow guys." Y/N said to her friends before sliding away from the table they were all gathered around and heading towards the tube station as she'd planned to meet her parents in the city for dinner.

Pushing her headphones into her ears, she found a seat on the crowded train, sitting herself beside an old lady who was lost in a book, she found her breath hitch in her throat as some familiar guitar chords flooded through her headphones.

It sounded like the loudest music in the world, she tried to skip it, she wanted to but it felt like she couldn't.

"And now, I'm half a world away from you,

But you're always on my mind,
There's a million words that I could've said,

And you might still be mine,
And if there's someone where I used to be,

I hope you tells you every day,
With the million words that I should've said,

I wish I could tell you always."

She fought back the tears that built up in her eyes until the second verse started, that's when the tears began to fall.

"When you were mine, did I push you far away?

Blamed this whole weight on my shoulders bearing down on me,
But then I only had to see you, don't you know how good that feels?

These are all the words I should've said,

Did I miss my chance? Is it too late to say?"

"Oh dear, are you okay?" Y/N snapped into reality when the woman beside her spoke up, a tissue in her hand.

Smiling slightly, Y/N nodded and mumbled a small thank you before wiping her eyes and laughing quietly. "

Don't be embarrassed hun, all of us cry sometimes and by the title of that song it doesn't sound that cheerful, is it a boy?"

"Yeah, you know what they're like. Teenage relationships and all that."

"I know it may seem hard now dear but boys aren't everything, you'll be okay in the end."

Smiling, Y/N nodded just as her stop came up. She said goodbye to the old lady before getting off of the tube and pushing her way through the station and into the bustling city.

She spotted her parents straight away when she entered the restaurant, flashing them a smile before sitting down.

"You look a lot better, how was college?" Her mum asked, she sounded nervous, like the wrong words would break her down.

"Did seeing your friends make you feel better?"

"I guess," Y/N replied, sipping on the drink that had already been gotten for her.

"I met this lady on the train and I guess she made me feel a lot better about things. He's just a boy," she trailed off slightly towards the end, realising her parents weren't paying full attention, instead they were looking behind her at somebody else.

Y/N turned her head before gasping when she saw him, them walking in.

James spotted Y/N first, flashing her a smile which she returned and then Brad saw her, they locked eyes for what felt like centuries before he started walking towards her as fast as his legs would take him there, his arms open wide.

Y/N stood up and stepped away from her seat and sprinting towards Brad, when they finally met, their arms wrapped around one another.

"Brad," she whispered, burying your face in his neck.

"I'm here, Y/N, I'm sorry oh my gosh, I'm so sorry," Brad whispered to her as they held each other tighter than before.

They were aware that a lot of people saw the moment between them and that people were still looking at them but in that moment, they didn't care.

For once, it didn't feel like every single one of their steps were being watched.

The pair pulled away but their forehead's were still pressed together.

"It was a stupid fight Brad, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry," tears began to well up in Y/N's eyes again but Brad just pressed a kiss to her forehead and held her.

"I love you, Y/N, I love you so much." Brad said to her, his hand resting on her cheek.

"I need to go and talk to the boys, okay."

But you shook your head.

"Please, stay with me," Y/N whispered squeezing his hand tightly in hers. "Please."

"Hey, I'm not going anywhere again, okay?" Brad asked and wearily, Y/N nodded.

"You go and talk to your parents, I'll go and talk to the lads and we'll go back to my place and be together, okay?" Again, she nodded and their lips pressed together before they turned to their separate parties.

Again, Y/N felt like she was breathing again, that her soul mate was right by her side again that once again, things were falling right into place.

The feeling of being empty without her love, now was fulfilled with over flowing joy. ❤
