You love Brad. And since he's always away on tour, you try and enjoy every second you have with him when he's at home. Sometimes you worry that you're being clingy, but Brad says he loves the way you cuddle to him when he's at home.
At least was what you thought until now.
You just got home from an exhausting day at work to find your boyfriend and the boys on the living room, screaming to the TV because some football player missed a goal. It's not like you didn't like the boys, you actually love them and love when they're around, but tonight all you wanted to do was to stay in bed with Brad, talking about everything and anything.
Plans ruined.
"Hey babe!" You kissed his head and he barely looked at you before going back to the TV.
"Hey Y/N. Can you do me a favor? Can you make that salsa thing only you know how to do it? We're out of some sauce here."
"Brad, I'm tired..."
"C'mon Y/N, please!"
"Hey Y/N, if you want I can make it." James offered himself.
"No, it's ok, Y/N can make it. Right babe?" Brad looked over at you and if he realized how tired you were and how much you needed cuddles, he didn't show it.
"Sure" you sighed.
You dragged yourself to the kitchen to start to make some sauce to your boyfriend and his friends.
And that's when your day got way worse.
"Brad, she looked really tired." Connor pointed out. "Don't you think you should take it easy?"
"She's not tired. She doesn't do that much. Except when she's nagging me."
"Brad!" Tris scolded him. "She's very sweet, don't talk like that about her."
"Man, why are you saying that? I thought you loved her." James said.
"I do love her. Very much. It's that every time I come home she's extra clingy and sometimes I just want to spend some time by myself. But she's always wanting to cuddle and she never leaves my side. Sometimes it's just too much!"
They didn't know you were listening. They also didn't know you were quietly crying. It's hard to hear the person you love talk like that behind your back. And it's even harder to know Brad have been lying this whole time all the times he said he didn't find you clingy.
You finished the sauce and washed your face on the kitchen sink before going to the living room.
"Here, babe!" You gave Brad the bowl and took your purse from the place you left it. "I'm going out with the girls. I'll come back later. Bye boys."
Brad was about to protest when you closed the door and almost ran to your car. You just needed some time alone.
***
You drove around town for hours, not answering your phone. It's been at least one hour that Brad keeps trying to talk to you, but you didn't want to come home nor answer him yet.
At 2 A.M you parked your car in front of your shared home and got off the car. The light in the living room was still on and you knew he was waiting for you.
"Thank God, you're okay!" He took you in his arms as soon as you entered your home. "Where were you?!"
"Out. I told you that." You shrugged and pass stray to your bedroom.
"I know that, but it's late and you weren't answering..."
"I was busy, Brad."
"Sorry, I was worried." You looked at him and he looked so concerned and innocent. It took everything in you to not run to his arms and cuddle there.
No. No more cuddles from now on.
"Go to bed, I'll just take a shower."
"Do you want some company?" He asked with a small smirk.
"No."
You couldn't even start to describe the face he made with your answer. You weren't one to reject spend some time with him. Specially showers. You loved showers with him.
Brad knew something was wrong. You're different and distant. But why? He doesn't remember doing anything to make you mad.
After you got out of the shower, Brad was already in bed. You changed clothes and laid on your side of the bed, with your back facing him.
Brad looked at you, expecting you to come and lay on his chest, with your face on his neck. But you didn't. Minutes passed and you were almost asleep when he decided to talk.
"Are you ok?"
"Yes."
"What did I do?" He asked, turning you until you were facing him.
"Nothing, Bradley."
"Stop calling me that!" He said worried. "You never call me Brad. I don't like it. Please, stop! Tell me what's wrong, love. I can fix it, whatever it is."
"There's nothing wrong." You replied annoyed.
"Yes, there is because you're not cuddling to me, like you always do. You're calling me Bradley. And earlier, you said you were tired yet you went out and came back at 2 A.M. I know you weren't with the girls because I called them. Where were you?"
"Driving around.."
"You only do that when you're upset. What did I do?"
"Nothing. It was me." You could feel the tears in your eyes.
"What?" He asked confused.
"I'm too clingy. I'm sorry. I won't do it anymore."
"What? You're not too clingy, where did..." Then he remembered. He said to the boys that she was too clingy and annoying.
"I heard you talking to the boys." Your voice barely above a whisper.
"God, I'm such a terrible boyfriend!" Brad pulled you closer and kissed your forehead.
"Babe, I'm so sorry for what I said. I didn't mean it, I swear! I was just upset with the game and everything and everyone was annoying me and I'm so sorry for taking out on you. Please, forgive me."
"It's okay if you don't like cuddles, Brad."
"But I do! I love cuddles, especially your cuddles!" You tried to get out of his arms, but he didn't let you. "I love you and I love everything about you. Please, forgive me and stop trying to push me away. I want you always close to me."
"You promise?"
"I promise, princess." He kissed you and you giggled.
