Third Person POV-At The Apartment

The next morning the assassin woke up and started to prepare for later on tonight. The bag was packed with clothes for her and the baby, food, and money.

She couldn't do this anymore.

She had to keep the baby safe.

She cant do this job because then what would happen to the baby?

So she was going to run.

At S.H.I.E.L.D.

Nick turned to Abigail. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

"I need them to know."

Nick nodded and opened the door walking in. "Sir." Fury looked up.

"Glad to see you're back Nick, what do you need?"

Abigail took that as her cue to walk in as well. Fury sat at his desk shocked. She walked up to his desk with a nervous smile. Fury stoop up walking around his desk to stand in front of her. He looked her over and tears began to form in his eyes.

"Abbie?" Fury's voice cracked.

She looked at him as tears began to fall from her eyes.

"Hey dad."

Back At The Apartment - Around 8 pm.

The assassin locked the door and picked up the bags. She was wearing black cargo pants, a sports bra, and a black sweater vest. The baby was strapped on her back asleep. She walked out the building and headed out of town.

When she walked down to the train station, something seemed off. It was kind of crowded but she started seeing suspicious people walking around. Living in New York you can tell the difference between what your average suspicious New Yorker was and someone who worked for the government.

The assassin took her hood off and put a smile on her face with her head up. She walked over to the ticket booth and bought a one way ticket. She went to sit on a bench because she knew she could get out of this. So she took the baby off her back and 'adjusted' the straps. Watching the undercover agents she realized that they were S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Shit" she mumbled.

She could tell because of how they tried to blend in. They were better than any of your average government agencies, like the CIA, FBI. NSA and etc.

She sighed because she knew she couldn't run. Then all of a sudden agents surrounded her with guns aimed at her. People screamed and scattered taking cover.

A familiar dark skinned man with an eye patch approached her. She looked up at him and gestured to the bag by her side. She slowly opened it revealing the baby. The guy with the eye patch told his men to lower their weapons.

"You're coming with us."

She simply nodded grabbing the bag with the baby and exited the station.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier (Interrogation Room)

"I'm not going to ask again. Who are you?" Fury asked. "Who do you work for?"

"Cut off one head, Two more shall take its place." Was the only answer she gave him.

He's been at this for hours trying to get her to talk. She was sitting in a navy blue room in weird handcuffs. And was trying to figure out why he looked so familiar. Sure she saw pictures of him because S.H.I.E.L.D. was her enemy. But seeing him in person made something in the back of her head spark.

Fury sighed in frustration as an agent walked in.

"Sir, What do you want us to do with the baby?"

That got her attention and Fury noticed. He turned to her.

"Is she yours?"

Silence.

"If she's not yours then you have no problem with letting her go." He stood up and walked out the door.

She stood up and yanked the handcuffs off, sprinting towards Fury. Grabbing him by the neck and pinning him against the wall she growled.

"Don't you DARE touch her."

"Cooperate and I wont have to." he grunted.

Agents suddenly surrounded her but she let him go and walked back into the room sitting down.

Fury walked back into the room waiting for her to start talking.

"I'm known as the Scarlet Diamond."

"Who do you work for?"

"No one now."

"Who did you work for?"

She paused, looking down at the broken handcuffs. "Hydra."

"Is the baby yours?"

"Take a guess Pirate." she scuffed

He got up and left. No one came in for a few hour. The Avengers watched the surveillance feed as the girl sat there creating daggers and throwing them at the wall out of boredom.

It was Agent Romanoff's turn to interrogate her. She had a hunch about something and wanted to see if she was correct.

Romanoff sat in the chair directly in front of Scarlet Diamond and put a tablet on the desk.

Scarlet looked at the tablet and saw a video of her baby sleeping. She looked up at the agent with a questioning look and the agent got the hint.

"Yes this is live."

A small smile etched its way onto Scarlet's mouth as she watched her baby sleep.

Agent Romanoff cleared her voice. "Who are you?" Scarlet looked up and was met with her's.

"Scarlet Diamond."

"Why did you quit working for Hydra?"

Scarlet pointed to the tablet. "Because of her."

"When did you decide to stop?"

"This Morning." Scarlet smirked and Romanoff stared at her.

"You don't remember me... Do you?" Romanoff asked in quiet voice leaning forward resting her hands on the table.

Scarlet looked into her eyes and saw flashes. They went through her mind fast all she was were blurs. She blinked a few times then shook her head. A sad expression made its way to the agents face, but as soon as it was noticed it went away.

Romanoff got up and headed out the door towards her room. She sat on her bed mumbling.

"Its her. I know those eyes anywhere."
