After that first kiss, I had a little internal fangirl attack.

It was nearing 10:00, and skating was almost over. Quinn and I had kissed a few more times. Everyone got up to return their skates, so I hugged him and whispered goodbye.

It was a good night.

--------

Kia, Nevaeh and I went out to Traci's car, and she asked how skating was.

"Good"

"Okay"

"Fun"

came our three responses.

"Hey so do you girls want food?"

"Uh, YES?!"

"I guess"

"No..."

Traci turned around and looked at me. "Celeste, are you sure?" I nodded. She turned around and asked if we wanted Subway. I looked up and said "Ok, now I want food."

They all laughed as we pulled into the parking lot.

-------

We got home, sandwiches in hand, laughing about something Kia said.

"WHERE'S MY FOOD?!?" Kajtia ran in the kitchen screaming. I held up her sandwich and Powerade in mock surrender. She retreated to the living room to talk to Caleb McClain

The rest of us headed to our respective rooms, Kia Nevaeh and I getting ready to FaceTime Robert, Josh, and Quinn.

The day ended with Kia and I watching Supernatural and me getting pushed off the bed in the middle of the night.

But it was still good.

=======

Nearly a week passed, and now it's Wednesday night. I got home, and I swear I had the worst headache of my entire life. It wasn't even 9:00 and I laid down on my bed in my jeans and fell asleep.

I woke up Thursday morning, and I can't even begin to describe how sick I felt. My mom had been sick, so I wasn't surprised that I felt sick, but I wasn't prepared for how terrible it was. I called my mom, and told her I wasn't going to school. She took my tempurature.

102.9.

This was not okay.

I rolled over, simultaneously coughing and sneezing, and asked my mom for water. After drinking a whole water bottle, I flipped over and went right back to sleep.

I was miserable. I couldn't eat. I didn't have the strength to shower. I looked gross.

Not to mention the fever that hasn't broken, hot and cold flashes, light headedness, joint pain, and all the other terrible symptoms of sickness, EXCEPT VOMITING. The one thing that hadn't happened yet.

The 5th day, I started feeling a little better, so I went and showered and put on a real pair of pants. It also happened to be Easter, but it's not like I'm doing anything for the holiday anyway.

I spent my day watching Supernatural on the couch with my brother, and I wouldn't have wished an alternative.

--------

I woke up early Monday morning, and had no intention of getting out of bed until I realized I had to go to school. I didn't want to, but I needed my make-up work before spring break and standardized testing.

I rolled out of bed and crawled to my closet, pulling on jeans and a sweatshirt. Pulling my hair into a messy bun, I went to go wake up my mom and my brother, because we all had to leave at the same time. I headed to the kitchen, packing a lunch for my brother for work, and a snack for myself during art class. The bags got placed in the car, along with ourselves, and we headed out to face the day.
