House of Memories

The rest of spring break was both eventful, and not. I didn't do much on Saturday and Sunday, mainly just binged Supernatural with my brother. I woke up Monday morning and went to work with my mom. Around 11:00, my stepdad came and picked me up to take me to the church. I had signed up the previous week to go to Chicago with my youth group, and despite the fact I was going with a bunch of Christians with sticks up their asses, I was fairly excited to go.

After an hour and a half car ride with three obnoxious high school boys and two girls I hated, we finally made it to Whirlyball. It's actually the greatest thing ever, and the only sport that I'm good at. Whirlyball is a cross between basket ball, whiffle ball, and bumper cars.

After three hours of intense games and three broken bumper cars later, we finally were done. All 21 of us piled back into the vans and headed to Portillo's for dinner.

We ended up getting back three hours before we originally planned, so I texted my mom to come pick me up early. In the meantime, I settled to talking with my youth leader about how much we both love the philisophical meaning in Twenty One Pilots songs.

My youth pastor walked up and asked what band we were talking about, and unfortunately he looked up a song with a really weird music video. After he finished watching it, he basically insulted me, my bands, my friends, and my life choices.

And that's how I ended my night.

On Wednesday, I hung out with my brother all day and watched all of season 5 of Supernatural and half of season 6. I officially have no life.

I got so pissed at the finale of season five that I walked around crying, screaming, laughing, and throwing things for fifteen minutes. Then I proceeded to throw a big ass tempertantrum and hide in my room for another fifteen minutes. I could hear my brother laughing from the other room.

After I had finished my tempertantrum, I walked back out to the living room.

"Do you wanna watch season six?"

"No.....but I will anyway."

He cackled and hit play.

Later that night, he and I were screwing around and pranking each other because we're so damn mature. He hid my phone in the freezer while I was in the bathroom, and I chased him around the house tickling the shit out of him.

I ended up getting tripped by him on my way through the kitchen and screamed "JOHN YOU'RE MY BROTHER, AND I LOVE YOU, BUT YOU'RE A GREAT BIG BAG OF DICKS."

I love my brother.

(Ruby I swear to the lord jesus christ if you say anything to me about this part i will block you)

I woke up at 5:30 on Saturday morning, and got ready to head to Chicago for yet another day. We were celebrating Nevaeh's birthday by going to Shedd aquarium with a party of eleven. The people going included myself, Nevaeh, Michael, Kia, Josh, Brendan, Cat, Nevaeh's mom, my mom, her Aunt Diane, and Diane's daughter Jesse.

I felt kinda bad for Josh because he looked so sad, so Kia and I were trying to hang out with Josh as much as possible. After the aquarium, we headed to The Bean in Millenium Park and took squad pics. Then we started a long, cold ass walk to the pizza place, which didn't have seating.

Fortunately we found another cool restaurant down the street, and their food was actually really good. Josh and I were joking around and pretending to snort the sweetner because it actually looked like cocaine. After that, we both shoved like five sugar packets into my bag.

I got home at one in the morning, and literally fell asleep in the clothes I wore that day. My dad came in at 10:00 and woke me up for church.

I rolled over, put on another pair of pants, and threw my hair into a bun. There was no way I was dressing up for church.

I spent the service texting Quinn, which was probably better than whatever Pastor Phil was teaching.

"Good morning beautiful"

"Morning"

"How was the train ride back?"

"Good I guess, I'm tired af though. Are you feeling any better?"

The last time I talked to him he told me he was sick.

"Yeah, I should be at school tomorrow. I'm finally getting my voice back."

"Good. I miss you."

"You're cute, you know that, right?"

I smiled down at my phone. I'm lucky to have this adorable boy.

"So are you."

"But you're cuter than me. Just sayin."

"Nah, I don't think that's possible. I gotta go, love you Q"

"Love you too."

When I got home later, I took a nap, and found that I had been put in a group chat about my trio for band. Apparently Alaina and Max would be at my house in 20 minutes to come practice. I yelled downstairs to warn my dad about the unruly teenagers.

An hour later, we had practiced for fifteen minutes and then decided to dress Max up in a tutu and several other girly clothing items.

It was fun.

And that's how I ended my Sunday night
