Phoenix's POV
"Morning, how'd you sleep?" Taylor says coming in Fin and I's room.
"I slweep goowd," I answer.
"Alright thumb sucker it's time to get rid of that bad habit, we are going to the store," Taylor says.
"Otay," I say as she lifts me out of the bed. She takes me to the bathroom. Washes my hair and body then drys me off bed dresses me in leggings and a maroon shirt. She ties my hair back in a French braid and slides flats on my feet then sends me out to the living room to watch tv.
She continues getting Fin ready.
"Morning sweetie," Selena says.
"Hi," I say barely above a whisper.
"What do you want for breakfast?" She asks. I shrug my shoulders.
"How about some eggs?" She asks. I nod shyly.
"Well, aren't you a shy one," Selena says smiling at me.
She makes eggs while telling me about herself. As I start to learn about her, I start to feel more comfortable. She sets a plate in front of me and two next to me. Then she puts a bowl of Cheerios on Fin's highchair.
"And there's Taylor," Selena says directing my attention to Finley and Taylor walking in the kitchen.
"Hi, I'm gonna go to the grocery store and pick up a few things, you wanna come?" Taylor asks Selena.
"Sure, I'll get my purse and coat, oh and shoes," Selena says walking away from the dishes she was loading.
"Alright, but you need to eat breakfast," Taylor said laughing at her as she turns on her heel and joins me.
We finally head out to the car. Selena had a tight hold on Fin's hand while I was in Taylor's arms.
We pull up to target and I get seated in a buggy along with Fin.
"So what do we need?" Selena asks. Taylor pulls out a list and we start with the fruit.
"And now baby stuff, diapers, pull ups, underwear, clothes for Phoenix, binkies, clothes for Fin, toys for Phoenix," Taylor says reading from the list.
"Alright, let's get toys before we get clothes cause that will take a while," Selena says as both girls laugh.

We get home with three big bags stuffed with clothes.
"Alright, come here Phoenix," Taylor calls me in to her room.
"Yeawh?" I say standing in front of her nervously.
"I want you to use this instead of your thumb, because it can hurt your teeth when you get bigger, and it's cleaner, so I have six, you can pick out three," Taylor says displaying the six on her bed behind her. She lifts me up and I start choosing.
One that had a "P" on it with different shades of pink on it. Another that had the word princess on it and was purple. And the third was a monkey with a green one attached to it.
"You like those?" Taylor asked.
"Yeawh," I say.
"Alright, well, I'll put one in my purse, you keep one with you and the third will go in the cabinet," she say. I hand her the one with a "p" on it to put in her purse and the princess one for the cabinet. I kept the monkey though.
"Okay, now take that thumb out of your mouth and put this in," she says removing my hand and pushing the monkey pacifier in my mouth.
"Otay," I say though the pacifier.
"There, now you can go play," Taylor says releasing me.

"Let's do something," Taylor says.
"Okay, what?" Selena asks.
"Austin flies in today, we could go to my parents," Taylor suggests.
"Yeah! I love your family," Selena says getting up from the floor of the playroom.
"Alright, let's go to grandma and Papa's house," Taylor says encouragingly.
"Grandwa, grandwa," Fin cheers.
"Otay," I say getting off the floor. I switched pacifiers I now have the one with a "p" on it. The monkey kept getting in my way so Taylor said she'd keep it in her purse.
"Alright go get your shoes and I'll help you put them on," Taylor instructs and Fin and I run off. I get my shoes from by the door. I hand Fin his and follow him back to Taylor.
"There they are come here little boy," Taylor says lifting Fin off the ground.
"Phoenix, Selena will help you okay?" Taylor says. I nod not wanting upset her.
"Here, come here," she says as I take a seat and hand her my shoes. It's not that I don't like Selena it's that I don't feel comfortable with her. I don't feel safe with her like I do wish Taylor, or Fin or Austin or Papa or even Grandpa.
She velcro my shoes then slides them on. I just suck on my pacifier and wait for my shoes to magically appear.

"Grandmwa!" I say running in the house.
"Phoenix," she says engulfing me in a hug.
"How are you doing?" She asks. I show her my pacifier that we brought. She smiles at me then greets Taylor and Fin and Selena.
"Hello?" Someone voice booms through the front door.
"Austwin," I shout and run towards him with Fin close behind.
"Fin, Phoenix," He says reaching down and picking us both up.
"Hellwo, Pawpaw," I say waving at him.
"Hi, sweetie," he says taking me from Austin.
"Loowk," I say showing him my pacifier.
"It's so she stops sucking her thumb like she has been for the past few days.
"Yeawh, now I cawn uwse twoo hanwds," I say showing him my hands. He chuckles slightly and smiles at me.
I look around at everyone happy to see each other again. I like that. At my old house Mama and Dada would fight. And fight a lot. They would treat me like a baby doll. They would never be happy to see me. I would but that always changed quickly. I though they were my saving grace but actually Taylor is my saving grace.
