After my shift was over, I decided to walk home because it wouldn't hurt to take a bus and walk the rest of the way home. I locked the doors to the shop and walked outside of the stores and just stood there for a while and walked towards the bus stop. I waited and a car pulled up. I search for the person and noticed it was Kellin. I smiled and walked towards the car and he opened it for me. "Hey Hazel!" He said and turned the heaters down and the radio down.
"How was work?" He asked. "It was quite strange but it was another boring day" I said and he looked at me then back at the road. "Did you hear what's going on?" He asked. I shook my head. "These fans of mine think we are together and they are already saying hurtful shit" he said seeming more unhappy than he was just two minutes ago. I frowned. "Yeah. One showed up at work and said face to face shit" I said and he stopped on the brakes and pushed the gas slowly and said, "Fuck the haters right?" I asked and he smiled. "Yes fuck em."
We started talking about how and when the Lets Cheer to This album will be out and how they gathered everyone and even talked over it as a band. Sleeping with sirens has grew very big so far and it's amazing to see that! I am proud of the boys and I am more thankful to even be their friend and their merch girl. "Are you sure your alright?" Kellin asked and I nodded and faked a smile. "I'm happy Kellin. And there is no need to worry" I said bopping his noise and he smiled at me and continued to drive. When they get much bigger, more tours, more distant. I will be forgotten.
After ten minutes of driving, Kellin turned the radio up and we jammed out to some 'Fireworks' by Katy Perry and sang with our emo hearts. "LET IT SHINE! JUST OWN THE NIGHT LIKE THE FOURTH OF JULY" he yelled and I laughed. "CAUSE BABY YOUR A FIREWORK!!." He screamed. "CMON LET YOUR COLORS BURST MAKE EM GO AH- KELLIN WATCH OUT!!" I screamed and we swerved off of the road and he pushed on the brakes sending us forward. I hit the dashboard and before it hit me with its hot air bag, Kellin put his hand in front of my face to stop it from hitting my face and I completely shut my eyes scared to even see the sight. "Hazel?" Kellin asked. My eyes opened and I looked for his eyes and we connected eyes and he told me not to move at all. He was able to open his door but my side of the door was smashed in. I turned and then I saw my leg all bloody along with the side of my body. "Kellin!! Kellin" I sobbed freaking out. Tears ran down our cheeks. "Hazel do not move please. I'm going to get us help" he said pulling out his phone.
After his phone call, Kellin was given directions to follow. "Okay they told us to sit tight and do you feel dizzy in any way? Light headed? Tired?" He asked. I thought for a while. "I'm feeling sleepy" I sobbed and tried catching my breath. Kellin had more tears come down his cheeks. "Don't fall asleep on me Hazel" he said and I couldn't help but to cry harder. "Kellin your arm!!" I yelled and I stared at his burnt up arm. "Kellin" I sobbed. "Hey it's fine but look at you! I am so scared!!" He said and I couldn't speak. "Kellin.. Thank you for everything" I said and he stared at me for awhile before going crazy. "No!! Hazel please!! Don't leave me!!! Hazel!!" He cried. I looked down at the piece of metal inside of me and the door smashed into my leg which I could no longer feel. "Hazel" he cried. "Love you Kellin" I whispered before my eyes were slowly shutting. Kellin cupped my face and forcefully made me stare at him. My eyes shot open because I was shocked at his actions.
"You are not leaving me! You are my bestfriend so gods sake! Stay forever with me Hazel! Your forever is all that I need" he said and I smiled and let tears drop. "Kellin I can't even- I'm so fucking tired." I said rocking my head slowly while my eyes were opening and closing. We heard sirens and Kellin did his best to keep me awake, alive. There was a lot of sirens I heard. "Kellin" I said and he held my hand. "Stay with me" I said and he kissed my hand. "I am here with you. It's okay. Don't be afraid. We will make it through this" he said and blinked tears.
The firefighters and policemen did their job but when it came to opening the door of my side was scarier than ever. "Sir I'm going to have you step away from the car" a police officer said making Kellin panic. "No! She needs me!!" He cried but was held back. As they removed the door with me screaming loud as I could and sobbing in tears in mercy, Kellin dropped to his knees crying while a policeman was their to try and comfort him. He was mentally beaten up while I was physically beaten up. Come to look at it, another car had smashed into us and drove away those fucktards.
They hurried and put me on a carrier and did the best they could to keep me alive and in seconds, I was already in the ambulance with kellin by my side. He was crying still and that's when my eyes shut and that's when I decided to not even wake up at all. That's when I decided to give up, or that's what I thought? "HAZEL!!" He screamed making me jump and open my eyes again. "Goddamnit kellin!" I said and he smiled with tears streaming down his cheeks. "Without you she wouldn't be alive right now. Your her hero" a man said to kellin and he smiled and stared at me.
He held me and we searched around me to see how bad it was. I turned to my side to see kellin taking off his jacket. He slowly put it by my side to I guess to give me a piece of him in case we are spit up again.
"We got you! It's going to be okay! I promise you, you'll make it through this!!" Someone said.
