"Kellin please don't forget the towels.. And the dish towels also. Don't forget they need to be dried. They are in the wash. I have to go, love you!" Hazel walked out of the house with her keys and I said my words back.
I stretched my arms out and looked back at the tv and continued to eat my cereal. I heard a faint noise and realized the baby monitor was making a noise, my little girl was up.
"Zolita daddy's coming!" I yelled and ran up the stairs and walked into her room covered in pastel purple wallpapers filled with girly things that matched our little girl. She was a bright person that made many people laugh and smile. It was cute and I love her dearly.
She quieted as I approached her. "Hi darling" I said in a funny voice making her smile and then laugh. I picked her up and grabbed her bag and wrapped it around my arm and walked out of the room and down the steps. All her pampers and milk and everything is in this bag.
"Let's get you changed and, I guess we can watch nemo while you suck on your binkey. Mom says you get fed at 10am and I am not allowed to feed you earlier. It's only 8:46pm but I'll feed you earlier. Don't tell on me" I laughed at myself. I'm just a funny man.
Zoe smiled which caused me to just smile and melt over her cuteness. "Okay let's do this. Daddy and daughter again" I smiled and grabbed her laying her on the baby mat we got so she doesn't have to lay on the floor while i changed her quick. Hazel told me this is the only time I will ever change her, if I was alone watching her but if she's here then she changes her.
After I changed her, I sat her up on the couch slowly and carefully and we watched nemo after I put it in. I was slowly feeling myself getting sleepy and then my eyes shut. Only until Zoe reminded me to wake up and she was there. I smiled down at her and she slowly tried to keep balance and of course I helped her. I set pillows around her and leaned towards her to she could lean on me if she wanted to.
My eyes slowly shut and then what felt like seconds later, I heard a thud and Zolita started crying. I panicked and searched around me frantically and then she was crying, next to me. What had fell was her bottle and the remote next to me.
I took deep breaths and picked her up. "Let's get you fed" I said and crunched down to grab her bottle and walked upstairs and placed her into her little seat thingy and slowly put the bottle near her to where she was able to drink out of it. I also put a blanket around her stomach so it can hold the bottle.
I pulled out my phone and checked the time, I was a little after 3 pm. My darling comes home around 5pm.
I heard pounding from downstairs and I sighed because my little girl was being fed. I slowly picked her up and held her bottle for her and walked to the front door and checked the side window near the kitchen and saw a girl?
I thought it was a fan of course so I opened the door and was greater by her. "Hi my name is Alayna.. I am sorry for stopping by but my friend Catherine double dog dared me to show up at your front step since you live near us, and see if you actually live near here.." She looked very nervous. I laughed.
"Oh well I don't want you to just come by for nothing so come on in! It's so hot outside!" I said and greeted her in. Her eyes got big and she smiled. "Thank you Mr. Quinn! That's very kind of you" she said. "Call me Kellin. Want anything to drink?" I asked. She nodded. I walked to the little seat of Zoe's exactly like the one upstairs... Since this was the backup one and did the same thing I did upstairs. I laid her inside her small little bed.
"Do you drink energy drinks?" Stupid me asked. "I wouldn't mind-" I was about to bust out laughing. "Hey! Girl you are trippin'. You are too young! Energy drinks are evil and unhealthy.. But we do have flavored water" I said while pouring her a cup of water and walking to her.
"It's a shame my friend was too scared to come.." I smiled not knowing what to say. "I really don't know why I am doing this but it was so hot out today and I didn't want to just have you come for a stupid dare. For all we know, there could be a heatwave or anything. I just care about people" I said. I heard a cry and I set my cup down and walked into the living room. I checked to see it she was hungry and I changed her while I was upstairs.
I heard the door open and Hazel yell. "Honey I'm hoooooome!" She said and I heard the keys drop on the table. I looked at Zoe and smile. "Mama is home!!" I said and I swear I saw her smile. I picked Zoe up and then I heard Hazel scream on the top of her lungs. I turned and she was holding her chest looking at Alayna. "Hazel, this is Alayna. She is a visitor" I smiled and Hazel sighed and started laughing at her reaction. I started laughing and Alayna was sitting there awkwardly laughing.
I looked at Hazel and she walked over to me and grabbed our startled baby and kissed her. "Kellin may I speak with you?" Hazel said walking upstairs. I didn't say anything but turn to Alayna. "I know your friend may be a fan but can I please trust you just to sit here and not do anything while I'm gone?" She asked. I hated feeling so open but I wanted to trust this girl.
She nodded. "Yeah sorry and" i said and but I saw honesty in this girls eyes so I wanted to at least trust her into just visiting. I smiled and turned around only to have Hazel have a small talk with Alayna. "Are you sure she won't steal or hurt one of us?" Hazel complained quietly. "Babe it's okay.." I calmed her and she smiled. She went up to the room and undressed while I took Zolita out of the room and I played with her.
"It's pretty late, I should get going haha. Thank you Mrs. and Mr. Quinn" she said and we said our see you's.
I handed Zoe to Hazel. "Yeah Alayna wait up!" I yelled. I chased after her right when we walked out of the house. She turned around. "Hey um. Here is my number. How old are you again?" I asked. "I am 17 turning 18 in like a couple of months. Me and my friend have the same birthday, we are almost twins." She proudly said. "Well you two should give me a call tomorrow, I am looking for models for a clothing line of mine and maybe merch people to help us during our upcoming tour so let me know what's up later. You seem very trusting" I smiled and she sat there and didn't say a word. "Thank you" she smiled and turned. "WAIT" I yelled scaring her.
"I'll give you a ride" I said and ran inside to tell Hazel and get the car keys. ..
