I covered his mouth with my hand quickly, almost slapping him in the face. I muttered an apology, his eyes just growing wider by the second. If he looked any more shocked, his eyes would burst out of his head.
"Don't say anything, please don't say anything," I whispered, gently pulling my hand away and looking at him. "When you're done doing whatever it is you're doing with Louis, meet me at this address."
I pulled a business card out of my pocket and scribbled the address of my favourite café on the back of it. I handed it to him and then went into the lounge, brushing his shoulder with mine as I did so. I could feel him staring at me as I put away my equipment, but I didn't dare look round. I'd give him his answers when I met him later.
"Zayn, where the hell- Zayn stop staring at her arse!" shouted Louis, who had obviously got bored waiting in the car.
"Uh, sorry," he muttered, rubbing the back of his neck and then slipping the card into his back pocket.
"Do you need a hand putting your stuff in your car?" asked Louis, walking over and picking up my camera bag.
"Yeah, just be careful, thanks," I chuckled.
Within minutes, everything was loaded into the car and I slammed the boot shut. I turned and smiled at the two boys standing in front of me. Zayn was glaring at me while Louis was completely oblivious, something Zayn was very much aware of.
"I'll give you a call to arrange the actual shoot then," said Louis, giving me a hug. "Thanks for everything."
"No problem," I smiled. "Speak to you soon."
He nodded and made his way over to the car. Zayn stayed stood beside me for a few seconds and then he grabbed my arm, whispering sharply in my ear.
"I'll meet you there in half an hour...I'm not going to say anything to Lou, but you have a lot of explaining to do."
He let go of me and stormed over to the car. I winced as he slammed the door and watched as he pulled out of the driveway, Louis starting a conversation. I kicked one of my tires and then groaned as I got into my car and started the engine. I guess that Zayn has recognised me because I was always closest to him out of all the boys. I just prayed he wouldn't tell Harry that he'd seen me, I needed to do it myself. One thing was for certain, I wasn't telling Zayn about the girls...that would give him reason to tell everyone.
I drove around for a bit, no actual destination in mind, I just needed to kill some time before meeting Zayn. I got increasingly nervous with every second which seemed to pass agonisingly slowly. I tried to block out all thoughts and just go for a relaxing drive but my head clearly wasn't allowing me that. I checked the time, knowing I should probably make my way to the café...and taking a deep breath, I drove in the right direction.
He was already sat down when I got there, so I sat opposite him, seeing that he'd ordered me a hot chocolate with marshmallows. I smiled slightly at the fact he'd remembered what my favourite hot drink was. but the smile quickly faded when I saw the expression on his face.
"Uh, hey," I murmured, not quite sure if he was able to here me.
"Hey?!"
Oh, he definitely heard me.
"I haven't seen or spoken to you for seven years and all I get is hey?!"
"Um...hello?"
"Don't be an idiot Alicia...what the hell where you thinking?!" he snapped.
"When I left?"
He nodded.
"I needed to get away Zayn...you knew that I was going to break up with him, we spoke about it before! Outside the pub, remember?"
