Best Friends

Chapter 11

The night is short and still cold but not as cold as the past few nights spent here. The night was calm and the only noises I heard where the wind brushing through the trees above, owls hooting in the distance, and the sound of Louis snoring.

I woke up suprisingly warm. The breeze had dropped and the sun was peeking through the gaps of the trees. I then realised I was the only one awake. I looked around at the surrounding sleeping bodies, a quiet stir was heard and I stood up. I have to admit the boys looked adorable asleep.

Harry has his face burried into his pillow, his full curls almost covering the pillow, Zayn has his arms around the back of his neck, Liam is curled into a small ball with his knees up to his chest, Louis is half in the sleeping bag, the over half of his body was sprawled across the ground and Niall is lying on his side with one arm in front of him. His hair was messy but beautiful and I noticed a small but bright small on his face.

My fingers played with the skin on my lips and a small giggle escaped my lips at the sight of Niall.

I wondered over to the bag which held all the food looking for something for breakfast.  

" Biscuts, museli bars, chocolate, cereal! Finally! "

I then walk over to the bag with plastic utensils. Wait, I don't have any milk, ugh! I'll just eat it plain, I thought to myself picking at the cornflakes in the plastic bowl.

" OW! Lou watch your feet! " I hear Zayn call. They must have woken up.

I walk into the circle of the now half-awake boys.

" Morning guys! " I say sitting down in my sleeping bag with my bowl of dry cereal.

" Morning Kate! " Niall, Louis and Harry reply, Zayn and Harry still streching from just waking up.

I let all the boys recover from waking before speaking again.

" So, what are we gonna do today? " I ask,

" Well, it's our last day and we're leaving this afternoon, so we thought we'd all take the car up to the highest point of the cliff and see whats up there " Niall says.

Driving up to the top of the cliff sounded really fun and I was already getting excited.

" Awesome! " I replied smiling combing my fingers through my hair.

By now all the boys where standing and walking around. Zayn, Louis and Harry has gone to get some breakfast and Liam had Niall had headed into their tents to get changed. I decided to follow Niall.

I collected my pillow and sleeping bag from the ground and brushed it off a few times from the dirt and headed over to the tent.

I seemed to have startled Niall as I walked into the tent as he was putting something in his bag.

" You ok Ni? " I ask a little confused.

" Oh! Yeah I'm fine just packing some stuff " He replies.

I brush off the strange incident and start to pack my own bag.

" Oh you might want to bring some bathers to the cliff " Niall says

" Why? "

" I hear theres a waterfall there " He says smiling.

" Oh ok "

I rummage through my neatly folded clothes in my suitcase to find the bathers I had brought. I felt Niall's stare as I pulled out a blue, purple and green patterened bandeau bikini top and matching bottoms.

" Ok Niall, out while I get changed! " I said trying hard not to blush.

" I promise I won't look! " He say's covering his hands over his eyes. I hesitate to check he's not peeking before quickly sliding on my bikini.
