Chapter 5

June's POV

I got home and I went straight to my room. I'm mad for two reasons. 1. Because those stupid Socs have to ruin everything 2. The boys made me go home so I couldn't fight the Socs, well at least Darry made me. Everyone thinks just because I am a girl, that I can't fight. I may be the youngest but it doesn't mean I am not strong. I couldn't think about it anymore because it made me more mad the more I thought about it. So I am going to prove my brothers wrong. I am going to go get into a fight with a Soc. My best friend, Dallas Winston taught me how to pick a fight and that is exactly what I'm going to do. So I turned around and walked out the door. I was walking to the lot when I felt that I was being watched. I turned around and nobody was in sight except for a beat up truck like Darry's only Darry's is green. I shrugged then kept walking to the lot. I got to the lot and saw that I wasn't the only one there. Eight Soc were there with two mustangs. Well, I almost got jumped before but I didn't because I held off five of them with a broken bottle and boy was Darry mad. Well, I need to rethink this for a second. Should I stay here and start a fight and get my ass kicked(I could kick their ass I mean you never know) or my other option is to go home and act like nothing happened. I mean there is usually four or five Soc and I could take them easily but eight?! Well, I do have my switch blade. I checked my pocket for my blade and it wasn't there, just my ass. Oh shit, I don't have it! I left it at home. What should I do?... What I am going to do is go and kick their ass and show them what a greaser is made of. I walk over there and almost immediately, I am being glared and smirked at. "Well look who showed up. Are you lookin' for your brothers?" One said. I recognized him, Joe Johnson. I glare at him. How the hell did he know I have brothers? "How do you know I have brothers?" I asked and he smirked and the others chuckled or whistled. "You and your little 'gang' are the most common greasers. Like the Mickey mouse dude, that guy who is good on cars, the shy kid, that Dallas Winston, the smart ass kid, that muscle guy, that one guy that is known as a ladies man, and last but definitely not least you. Beautiful thirteen year old girl that wins every guys heart. Miss June Curtis." He said. What. A. Stalker. He forgot about the other girls(I will explain that later in the chapter so remember this). What is up with that? Ok I just stared at him until He started to get closer to me. "Well, I am not here to talk. I am here to fight." I said confidently. They laughed and Joe said "Yeah right. You? You mean you? This little thing is going to fight the eight of us?" And he just laughed some more. "You won't think it is so funny when you get your foot shoved so far up your ass that it is coming out of your mouth will ya?" I asked smirking because both they stopped laughing and second of all it is true. As long as they don't come at me all at once I will be fine. But of course I spoke too soon. I was pinned in a second. Two had my legs and two had my arms and one sat on my stomach. He weighed like a ton! The other three stood and was keeping guard and fighting off whoever would come and help me. "What are you going to do now? Huh?" Joe yelled in my face. I honestly wasn't prepared for this one so I did the only thing I could do. Scream. I screamed at the top of my lungs when a hand covered my mouth. They started to beat me. I thought I was going to pass out if they kept on kicking my head when someone pulled the soc off of me. I looked up and knew right away who they were. My older sister; Candy. Sodapop's twin who is also a drop out with looks. She is basically a girl version of Soda and I forgot to mention, Ponyboy and I are twins. Sorry I forgot to tell you guys earlier. But anyway. Candy pulled out a switch blade and chased the Socs away. She helped me up and then said "What the hell are you doing?" She practically yelled. "Candy, I just... Wanted to pick a fight because the boys got me in trouble with Darry and then they wanted to make it up to me and then we went to the park and played basketball and then socs came then Darry made me go home then I got mad then I tried to pick a fight but there was more than I thought there would be and then they beat me up and here we are." I said. My first time being jumped. I have been bullied when I was little but never jumped. By bullied, I mean teased and rumors spread about me and my hair being pulled. Nothing really compared to being jumped. Candy stared at me and said "Sorry I wasn't there but I had plans with one of mom's old friend. She wanted to take me out to lunch." She explained. "What did you guys talk about?" I asked. She started walking to the house, pulling me along with her. "Just talked about how we are doing and if we need anything then she said we can always count on her." She explained once more. I love my older sister. We tell each other everything. It is like Pony and Soda. "Candy tomorrow is Saturday. Do you want to hang out. Just you and me?" I asked hoping for a 'yes' but instead I got a 'no'. "Why?" I asked a little upset. "Two-Bit, Me, Steve, Evie, Soda, Rosie, Dally, Kathy, Darry, and Beth are going to hang out. All couples." She told me. Two-Bit and Candy are dating. Steve's little sister; Rosie, is dating Soda. Steve and Evie (It is a different Evie) are dating. Dally and Two-Bit's little sister; Kathy are dating. Darry and Beth are dating. Rosie LOVES to pick fights and drink. She gets abused at her house by her dad, so Steve doesn't let her go home. She is also a drop out. Kathy loves Mickey Mouse just like Two-Bit. Kathy's dad ran out on her mom, brother, and her and she never sees her mom because she is working all the time. She is a drop out. Beth is the mother figure of all of us. Darry and her are like the parents. Beth finished high school and gave up college after she met Darry to help us out. Evie, is a drop out too. She does most things with Steve. Pony, Johnny, and I are the only ones that go to school and aren't dating anyone. Johnny doesn't go everyday like me and my twin do. Before I know it we were at home walking through the front door and all of the girls were there and no guys for once. "Where is everyone?" Candy asked. Nobody had time to reply because they came right through the front door. I turned around and had all seven pair of eyes locked on me.
