He is Braeden; Dally's little brother!

Steve's POV

We heard a shattering noise coming from the room behind the TV. June's room. "DARRY!" June yelled and we got up so fast it was unbelievable. We ran into June's room and her lamp was shattered in tiny little pieces on the floor next to her. June's eyes were closed and the gang just stood there until Darry and Beth went to check on her. She was sitting on the floor with her eyes closed and she was breathing heavy. What's going on? We don't really know what to do so we stayed back and let Beth and Darry do their thing, parent. "June, what's wrong? Are you bleeding?" Beth asked and June shook her head no. "Darry." June said and reached her hand out to him but couldn't find it. What the hell? "Darry, I can't see." June said and I looked to my right and Soda looked at me with fear in his eyes and everyone else either stared at her or whispered to each other about what was going on. "What do you mean you can't see?" Darry asked and June said "Darry, it's black. I can't see a thing." Darry looked at Beth and looked back at June then said "June, try opening your eyes." June did as she was told and shook her head. "I still can't see. It's pitch black Darry. What's happening?" Darry grabbed June's hand and held it and told us to get out while him and Beth talked to June. What's happening? The rest of the gang went to the living room and sat down anxiously. "Guys, where's Tanner? Why isn't he here?" Rosie asked and Soda put his arm around her and Dally said "I don't know but when we came home, June was crying. We left June and Tanner here alone. I swear if he hurt her, I will not hesitate to kill him." He had rage in his eyes as he held Kathy's hand. "I mean, what do you guys think is wrong with her?" Two-Bit asked. "Y-you guys don't think she went..." Ponyboy asked but didn't finish but we all knew what the kid was asking. If she went blind or not. I hope not. Darry came out and said "I don't know what to do. She says her head hurts and she can't see. We're out of aspirin so Ponyboy and Candy, can you guys go to the store and buy some medicine?" Ponyboy and Candy nodded and Darry gave Candy some money for the medicine. Candy put her arm around Pony's neck and yelled "C'mon little bro!" We chuckled as they walked out the door. What's gonna happen to June?

Ponyboy's POV

Candy and I walked out of the house and down the street. "What do you think is going to happen to June?" I asked and Candy sighed and said "I don't know. She's always getting sick though, ya know? I don't think something's right. She's been like this since she was a baby. Something's not right. I can feel it." We were almost to the store when I looked at Candy and someone's hand was over her mouth and then I felt something hard hit my head and I was out and so was Candy.

Braeden's POV

Candy and Pony have been gone for a while now and everyone is wondering where they're at. Especially Crystal and Two-Bit. Man, I wish I had someone like that. Who worries about you. I only have my brother and his gang for that. Darry and Beth decided to take June to the hospital and we are getting ready now. Darry asked if I would carry June and I said yes. I mean she weighs like nothing and I don't mind. We finally got to the hospital and they took her in almost immediately. This is going to be a long day.

Dally's POV

I got up and walked out of the hospital. I need to get my mind off of this. All of this. I was calming down until I saw Tanner. I walked up to him and grabbed him by his shirt collar and said "You're dead." I threw him over my shoulder and walked to Buck's with him telling me to put him down. We got to Buck's and went up to my room. I shut the door and locked it so Tanner couldn't get out. I turned towards him and punched him. He fell back but got right back up. After a good ten minutes of me beating the shit out of him, I grabbed him by his shirt collar and said "How could you hurt her like this?!" I wanted answers and I was gonna give him some answers as well and they won't be very... pleasant. "What do you mean?" Tanner asked. I mean, honestly. Stop playing stupid. Don't be Two-Bit. "Are you blind? She would give up everything for you. She loves you more than you could possibly imagine. I've watched her cry over you way too many times. You fucked her over time and time again, and yet she still comes back to you. I have no idea why she would, it's not like you actually care. But its because she loves you and you don't see it." I said and Tanner pushed me away from him and said "I don't care?! I'm giving her some space to make sure that I'm not the reason she's getting hurt! She doesn't understand it either but I don't want to hurt her! I love her!" Wait, they're taking a break with whatever they have? I don't know what kind of relationship they have right now but, they need to start taking bigger steps and start thinking about each other besides themselves. "Tanner man, if she walks away from you and you don't chase her, she's gonna keep walking. She's gonna keep walking and she ain't gonna turn back. But I want to tell you. You never know how much you love someone until you watch them love someone else. Trust me, I know." I said and sat down on the bed. Tanner sat down next to me and said "Dally, I'm scared. I'm scared for someone to realize how truly amazing she is. I'm scared for someone else to kiss her lips. I'm scared for someone else to take my place. I'm scared for someone else to have her heart." I sighed and nodded. That's how I feel about Kathy. She could have anyone. Anyone in the world and yet, she still chose me. "Yeah, that's how I feel about Kathy. But listen, don't make her wait for you just because you know she will." I said and got up and said "Let's go see her. But before we do, I have to tell you something. She's in the hospital and she possibly turned blind." Tanner's eyes widen. He ran out the door so fast with me right behind him.
