Chapter 23

That's Beth!!!!

Candy's POV

I didn't mean it! I didn't mean one word I said to her! I don't know if she left or not because I went in my room and cried. There was a knock on my door. It was Two-Bit. "Baby, can I come in?" He asked and I didn't answer, I just continued to cry. "She left. Ponyboy tried to talk her out if it and Tanner tried going with her but she refused both. Candy, I love you but, why?" He asked. I sniffled and looked at him. I stood up and stood right in front of him. "I didn't mean to. I didn't mean to say that. It slipped! You know, I put on a smile everyday to make sure you guys don't see the real me! I am holding in so much and I guess I couldn't keep it in anymore! I want to hug June and tell her I'm sorry and I didn't mean it! I want to tell her that she is one of the most important people to me! But I can't! She's gone! She may not come back! But that doesn't mean I won't and will EVER stop looking for her! I just want her in my arms! I want to talk to her about things I could NEVER talk about! I want her back!!" I yelled and by this time, I know the gang heard me because my brothers were at the door way and the rest if the gang behind them. Two-Bit hugged me but, pushed him away and started walking towards the door. When I walked by Pony, I said "I'm so sorry Pony. But I will get your twin back. I promise." I kissed the top of his head and walked towards the front door. "Where are you going?" Darry asked. I looked back at them and said "To get my sister back." Then I walked out the door, with the gang in my heels, just like June has done so many times, that shouldn't of happened.

June's POV

I didn't know where to go, so I am heading back to the treehouse. Nobody will find me. Maybe Tanner but, who knows? I was walking by the Dingo when I saw Shawn and his friends from earlier today, inside and I saw a mustang trailing me. Shawn and his friend saw me and came outside right as the mustang stopped and eight Socs got out. Well, this is a loose loose situation. "June, stand behind us, we will take care of them." Shawn said and his buddies nodded in agreement. "Let's kick their asses just like we did June's today!" Ashley said. Shawn yelled at her to shut up and I was still standing in the middle of the two groups. "June, don't go with them. They are going to hurt you." Danny said. I looked at the Socs and said "You guys will hurt me too." I looked back and forth between the both if the groups. Who do I go with?! "No June! We won't! They are going to hurt you because they want to get back at this kid named Tanner! We met up with your brothers and gang tonight and promised we would keep you away from them! June, they will hurt you! They know how to do karate or some shit." Danny explained and I was going to say something when I got cut off by someone yelling. I looked in that direction and saw it was the gang. They stopped when they saw all of us. "June! Get away from Shawn!" Tanner said and I looked at everybody. "June trust us! We would never hurt you!" Shawn said and I looked at him and said "Oh really? Because you guys tied me up today!" I said and the gang looked confused. "When did you hang out with them, June?" Beth asked and I answered "Today. When I went out today, I met them and Shawn asked if I wanted to hang out with them and I said yes. Then the girls got mad because I said that I liked Tanner and Ashley does too. Ashley wanted me to swear on my family's life to back off of him and I said no. Then they tied me up and Shawn untied me ten minutes later." The gang looked pissed off. "June come with us and we will kick their ass." Dally said and I looked at him and said "I'm not going anywhere with either of you guys! Shawn will hurt me, I don't know what the Socs will do, and I'm not wanted at home. I'm going on my own." I turned to walk away when I got hit on the head pretty hard and I was out....
