Chapter 37

That is Crystal!

June's POV

I woke up in a hospital room. I heard every detail that went on with Crystal, Ponyboy, and how we have the same birthday. Pony also asked her to go to the movies which was sweet. But I've been thinking, would Ponyboy forget about me when he gets a girl? He wouldn't, right? But I'm worried about the Socs and the deal too. What was the camera for when the Socs got to me? What are they going to do next? Are they still after Johnny? What about Tanner? I need to talk to him. It's been awhile, I think. I saw Ponyboy at the doorway with his back to me looking at something. "Ponyboy?" I asked and he wiped around so fast and then he yelled "GUYS! SHE'S AWAKE!" Seconds later, the gang came crashing in. I chuckled at how crazy they all are. Then they started loading me with questions. I rolled my eyes and said "Guys, I'm fine." They nodded and the doctor came in and said I can go home since the last test came back with the results. We left as I was still in my skinny jeans, white shirt, leather jacket, and my converse. I need to go home and get cleaned up. I'm exhausted. "Is anyone up to carrying me the rest of the way home?" I asked and Steve picked me up bridal style. "Geez kid, what do you eat? Or do you eat anything? You weigh like nothing." Steve exclaimed and Dally said "She use to eat but she doesn't eat as much anymore. But that's gonna change because if you don't eat, I will personally make you eat, ya little shit." I looked up to see where Darry was and he was in a deep conversation with Beth so I flipped Dally off and the rest of the gang laughed while Dally chuckled and messed up my hair even more than it already was. "Pony, have fun tonight on your date but don't have too much fun, alright? I don't need little Pony's and Crystal's running around everywhere." I said and Pony turned red and he asked "How do you know about Crystal and that I asked her to the movies? You were asleep." I rolled mu eyes and said "Yeah, I may of been acting like I was asleep but I wasn't." He nodded and the rest of the gang messed around while I listened and waited until I got home. When we did get home, Steve put me down and I sat on the couch. Soda came over and picked me up then set me on his lap. He wrapped his big arms around me and pulled me close to him and I felt safe. I love Soda so much. He kissed my head multiple times and said that he loves me over and over again. I didn't really know what to do because Soda doesn't really do this so, I sat back and enjoyed it. Plus, I feel.... weak. I feel like I can barely walk. Rosie sat next to us and just enjoyed the view as well. They will make great parents. It will be so adorable! But right now, I don't want to think. All I want to do is sleep and that's exactly what I'm gonna do.
