Simon and Jeanette sat together, side by side, in the cafeteria the next day during lunch. It was peaceful and quiet together despite the rowdiness in the environment.

"So..." Simon thought of something to talk about.

"Jeanette!" They both heard a familiar call and snapped their heads to the source of sound.

"Alvin?" Jeanette questioned as he reached their table.

"You gotta hide me, from Brittany!" Alvin pleaded.

"And what did you do to make Brittany so angry today?" Simon remarked in a bored tone.

"We fought in the morning and it got very physical and she broke a nail." Alvin scratched the back of his head.

Simon shook his head disapprovingly at Alvin.

"In my locker, let's go." Jeanette gestured, pitying Alvin since she also left him with Brittany the day before.

Simon shook his head in disbelief and his eyes widened.

"Seriously, Jeanette?" Simon asked.

"I already ditched him yesterday. He deserves help." Jeanette reasoned, hopping off the table.

"I'll meet you in class." She promised, running off with Alvin.

"Hurry, get in here." Jeanette opened her locker.

Alvin rushed in, and Jeanette closed it.

"Jeanette!" She heard another call and snapped her head in Brittany's direction.

Brittany was storming up to her with a mad look on her face.

"Oh, everyone's looking for me today." She mumbled to herself against the locker.

"That's because you're one of the kindest students in school. Tell her I'm somewhere else!" Alvin instructed from inside.

"Oh, okay." Jeanette said in a frightened tone.

"Yes Brittany?" Jeanette smiled at Brittany.

"Where's Alvin?" Brittany demanded to know.

"I don't know where specifically, but last time I saw him he was heading down the hallway this way." Jeanette gestured behind her.

"Oh," Brittany grumbled, "he's gonna get it when I find him!"

With that, she bolted past Jeanette. Jeanette unlocked her locker and Alvin walked out smoothly.

"Thanks Jeanette." He smirked for a weird reason, walking past her.

Jeanette pursed her lips together, with an eyebrow raised at Alvin. She just gave Alvin a puzzled look, but brushed it off.

"Oh, and Jeanette? Can you help me with Mathematics after school? Simon wouldn't help me." Alvin asked Jeanette.

"Oh, um, okay." Jeanette nodded her head with a kind smile.

She walked off to her next class in Physics, where Simon was already seated at his place.

"And so, did he succeed in hiding from Brittany?" Simon asked indifferently.

"With my help, yes." Jeanette chuckled.

"Don't let him step over you. He tends to use Theodore a lot at home." simon advised Jeanette.
