Jeanette waited patiently at the bench for Alvin to show up. She started on the library book Simon recommended to her. So far, she loved the strong friendship between the boy and the girl. It almost described her friendship with Simon.

"Hey Jeanette, I'm here." Alvin's voice boomed from a distance and Jeanette looked away from her page, folding the top of the page.

"Let's get started." She politely suggested, keeping away the library book into her bag, trading it for her mathematics textbook just as Alvin took out his own book.

"Where's Simon? Don't you usually hang out with him?" Alvin asked, looking around halfway as Jeanette explained a chapter to him.

"He went off first." Jeanette explained.

"I swear, Simon hates me." Alvin scoffed.

"No he doesn't, Alvin." Jeanette protested.

"Sure he does. He always refuses to help me." Alvin rolled his eyes.

"I'm always in the wrong to him." He added.

"Aw Alvin, I'm sure Simon doesn't hate you. I fight with my own siblings too sometimes. Brittany can be a real pain in the neck." Jeanette tried to reason.

"But deep down, she cares. I told you that before. Simon may seem like a heartless person sometimes, but deep down he does care for you as a brother should." Jeanette advised Alvin.

"How would you know?" Alvin challenged.

"I know Simon. He is a wit, but he cares deeply for his family." Jeanette explained.

"He confides in me a lot." She added.

"And not his brothers." Alvin remarked.

"Alvin, you don't confide in Brittany about your problems with Brittany
herself, right?" Jeanette tried to talk some sense into Alvin.

"Oh, well, um... No. I guess not." Alvin began to see her point.

"Exactly. Talk to Simon, don't bottle your opinions up. I'm sure he'll listen and change his ways to be a better brother for you." Jeanette advised.

Alvin just stared at her in awe, as Jeanette looked over Alvin's calculations on his homework.

Gee, Simon was lucky to have a best friend like her. She was one helpful adviser who was able to make any troubled person feel better. She was definitely a girl worth being friends with.

Meanwhile, Simon sat on the porch of the chipettes' treehouse, revising for the Physics test. He took no notice of the pink-clad chipette strolling up the wooden stairs.

"Simon?" Brittany asked, puzzled to see him sitting at the table outside the door.

"Oh, hey Brittany." Simon casually answered when he looked at her.

He looked back down on his textbook, simplifying his notes into concept maps.

"What are you doing?" Brittany asked curiously.

"Studying." Simon monotonously answered her.

"Well, thanks for putting that out there, Captain Obvious." Brittany remarked sarcastically.

"I'm waiting for Jeanette to show up." Simon explained.

"Jeanette? Where is she? Isn't she always studying with you?" Brittany looked around in search of her younger sister.
