As soon as Jeanette walked into the school compound beside her sisters, chaos happened. To Brittany, at least.

"Yo, what up Nessa?" She greeted Vanessa who sat by Brittany's clique on the bench.

"Um... Hi?" Vanessa greeted back awkwardly.

"Jeanette? Since when do you talk to my friends?" Brittany asked.

"Don't you go around telling me who I can or can't talk to missy." Jeanette sassed Brittany.

Everyone looked at Jeanette, puzzled by her sudden personality change.

"Uhm, okay..." Annie, one of Brittany's friends, remarked.

"Look what I can do!" Jeanette announced, scurrying over and past Derek the school jock, snatching his skateboard.

"Hey!" He yelled, putting on a rage face.

Jeanette began skating. Just at that moment, the chipmunks were making their appearance into the school. Alvin and Simon took notice of Jeanette skateboarding.

"Hi Alvin! Simon! Theodore!" Jeanette skated and attempted to pull a jumping stunt over them.

"Whoa!" She shrieked as she fell onto the ground, earning a scratch on the skateboard.

"Jeanette!" All her friends rushed to her side, whereas Brittany stood by Annie in embarrassment.

Simon and Alvin helped Jeanette up.

"A-are you okay?" Theodore asked Jeanette, exchanging worried glances with Eleanor.

"That was awesome, Jeanette." Alvin complimented.

"Alvin!" Simon frowned at him but gasped as he saw Derek approaching them.

"Hey! You better pay me for that, you-" Derek began but got interrupted.

"N-now now, Derek, no need to get so angry. It was an accident." Simon tried to reason.

"She snatched my skateboard, rode on it as if she was a professional, and got scratches on it! I want twenty for a new one!" Derek demanded.

"I- uh..." Jeanette bit her lip, her shy fears conquering her body.

"I don't have twenty..." She spoke softly.

"You better get twenty or else..." Derek threatened, picking a twig from the ground and breaking it in half, startling Jeanette.

"Fine! I'll pay half for her." Alvin offered ten dollars with a glare at Derek.

"Me too. I'll give the other half of the amount." Simon fished out ten dollars instantly.

"Alvin, Simon..." Jeanette whispered pleadingly, feeling embarrassed that they had to step in to stand up for her to Derek.

"Next time, I won't be so easy on her." Derek shot Jeanette a menacing look before walking away.

Brittany watched the whole thing, so afraid to step in and help her sister. She heard her friends gossip about Jeanette's weirdness, and just walked after them to brush it off.

Maybe after that incident with Derek, she'll simmer down now, Brittany thought to herself.

"Alvin, I don't think I'm cut out for this." Jeanette sighed.
