A/N: Hi!!! Sorry to keep you waiting! These last two chapters are really long compared to the others! And, can we just take a moment to appreciate where Simon is placing his hand in the picture? 😍😂 (the offscreen hand, not the shown hand LOLOL omg I just noticed where the shown hand is landed on)
If Alvin wasn't looking at the electronic device, I'd say he looks jealous ;) 😂

Upon seeing his brother get more attention than he did, Alvin stormed onto the dance floor, shoving Simon aside. Brittany smirked, knowing popularity was his weakness.

"Go Alvin!" Jeanette tried to join in, only to feel self-conscious when some of the cool kids gave her dirty judgmental looks.

Okay, this is my cue to be quiet, she thought to herself upon seeing the two boys challenge each other.

The reason why Simon was probably gaining attention was because he could actually dance. Poor Jeanette was all alone. She looked around, as many people chatted among themselves. Theodore and Eleanor were having fun on their date. Brittany seemed to be having a good time cheering Simon on, and she did not want to get in her sister's way. Even the teachers were having a great time mingling at the corner while the students danced.

She looked down, feeling lonely. Perhaps Simon was right. Alvin was not compatible with her, even if he was the sweet Mr Romance who could melt her heart with words. He was too different. He liked attention and could get it. She liked tranquility, and could never get attention. However, why would Alvin say all the sweet words to her through love letters if he was such a narcissistic chipmunk?

Jeanette could not think straight, with the huge party around her. She left to wander in the quiet halls, looking at the stars through the window. Something just did not feel right. But everything was right, right? So why did everything seem wrong all of a sudden? She was dating someone who felt something for her, but why did she feel unloved? She wanted to give Alvin a shot at impressing her, but it seemed like he wanted to impress others.

She sighed, slumping against the wall. This was not how she imagined her first date to be. She expected sweet gestures shown in movies and sweet words described in books. She felt ditched.

Meanwhile, Simon looked around wondering as Alvin showed off his own dance moves. It then occurred to him that Jeanette was not around, with Alvin.

"What's wrong, Simon?" Brittany asked.

"Where's Jeanette?" Simon continued scanning around the room with his eyes.

"I don't know." Brittany began to search as well.

"Oh my gosh, I love it when you do the flip, Alvin!" Vanessa complimented.

"I can do it smoother though!" Derek, Vanessa's date, boasted.

"Oh yeah?" Alvin challenged, before he was dragged away by Simon.

"Wait- Si! Oh come on!" Alvin whined.

Simon paused in his tracks, holding Brittany by the shoulder as Alvin kept rambling about how Simon was messing up his collar.

"When you find her, remember what to tell her. I'll do my talk with Alvin." Simon instructed Brittany.

"Got it." Brittany nodded her head.

"She tends to wander in quiet places when she wants to be alone. Check the halls maybe." Simon suggested.

"Understood." Brittany maturely stated, overwhelmed upon seeing how much Simon cared for Jeanette.
