Reason 23: If this is what loving you feels like- I'd give it a go even though it will hurt me in the process of loving you.
"Hey, Audrey," I called out to her when I saw her around campus.
She came over to me and gave me a smile, "What's up?"
"Are you contacting back with Esther?" I asked.
"No, why?" she asked me back.
"Nothing, just asking." I replied.
"Kade!" Audrey chased me after I left.
I turned back, "Yeah?"
"She loved you so much."
"I know."
"Did you.. love her?"
"I still do."
"Do you think she'll give me a chance if she ever comes back one day?" I asked her.
"I don't know, honestly. You'll have to think through it wisely because are you sure you're doing this because you only realized this after she left and it's out of pity or if that you've always wanted to this," she explained, carefully.
"A part of me wants to leave her alone but most part of me wants her to myself," I said.
She looked at me with sympathy, "But Kade, this time, you'll have to be selfless," she said, "She had always been the selfless ones all this time and it's her turn to be selfish," she paused, "It's your turn to feel what she felt."
