The wind was howling like a fury beast outside as they were trying to keep themselves warm from the cold outside.

"Mommy?" a little girl asked her mother.

Esther looked at her daughter as she smiled towards her, "Yes?"

"How were daddy and you when you were younger?"

She smiled as she heard the curious question from her daughter, "We were like magnets, we attract yet repel at the same time."

"Why isn't daddy here with us?"

"He's in somewhere better, honey. He's always here," she said as she placed her hands to her daughter's heart, "In your heart."

"Will you find another person to replace daddy?"

"That's what your dad wanted me to do."

"I'm sorry!" Esther exclaimed as she bumped into someone.

"It's okay," the person replied.

"Esther?" the person called out.

She looked up to him and lay her eyes on the eyes that she had never stopped loving, "Kade?"

Kade smiled to her as he opened his arms for him to embrace her, "You're so small."

"You're so tall! Did you do something when you were gone?"

"Some lifting, going to gyms and basketball."

"That's exactly why and I have to take care of a little girl!" she said, giving her reason.

Kade chuckled, some things never change.

She's still the same as she was when he fell in love with her.

"Speaking of little girl. . . How's my favourite girl doing?" Kade asked.

"She's doing alright; do you want to come over for dinner?"

"Yes, sure, dinner sounds good." He agreed to Esther's plan.

Esther said goodbye to him as she turned her way to the counter with a smile on her face.

Some things never really changed, did they?

So are their feelings towards each other.

a/n; I hope you enjoyed this and this is the closure and yes - they do have a chance with each other! <3 and the guy that the little girl was referring was Esther's husband that passed away in a war. And Kade came into the picture as a saving grace! Have a nice day and I hope you enjoyed this chapter as I enjoy writing them. :)
