The Airport Pt. 2

Julia's POV

    The air pushes its way in and out of my lungs as I push through the groups of people in the airport. It just seems like the closer I get to her the more people step in my way. 

    Eventually I make it close enough to see her beautiful hazel eyes glistening almost as if she's been crying. I skid into a stop as I reach her, taking in her gorgeous face.

Laurel's POV

    I gasp as Julia comes to a sudden stop in front of me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked breathlessly, reaching out to touch her face with my hand. 

    She catches my hand and brings it to her lips, kissing it.

"I came here to stop you from making a huge mistake." Julia says, pleading with me with her eyes. 

"Julia, babe, we talked about this." I sigh, stroking her cheek. 

"I know," Julia assures me "But things have changed now." 

"How?" I ask impatiently, "Nothing has changed everything is still exactly the same! I have to leave."

"But you don't." Julia says calmly to me.

    Just as she says this I see Steph quickly walking up to us. 

"Julia what have you done." I gasp in horror. 

"I had to. I couldn't just let you leave."

    A major migrane starts to form and I draw in a deep breath to calm myself. 

"What's going on?" Melony asks, confusingly.

"I have no idea." I say to her over my shoulder. 

"Melony can I talk to you for a second." Julia says, looking over my shoulder at Mel.

"Wait why?" I panic. 

"Talk to her." Julia says calmly, turning her head in Steph's direction. 

    I open my mouth to speak but nothing come out as Steph comes to a stop in front of me.

"Hey," she smiles sadly, lifting her fingers to stroke my face.

    I move out of her reach.

"What are you doing here?" I ask, trying to remain emotionless. 

"I...I came to tell you I understand why you're leaving now. I came so I could tell you don't have to go sweetie." 

"What do you know?" I ask cautiously, glancing quickly over to Julia and Melony who are standing a few feet away and back to Steph.

"I know about you...and Julia. About the relationship you and her have. She told me everything." Steph says slowly.

"Why would she do that?" I fume, "Doesn't she have the slightest idea what kind of position she's putting you in?!"

    I side-step Steph to make a move towards Julia but Steph reaches out her arm to stop me.

"No, don't blame her for anything. She did the right thing. She loves you very much and she did this because she loves you Laurel. Not for any other reason." Steph tries to reason with me. 

"She obviously doesn't love me enough! I asked her to let me handle this! You have no idea what risk she's put you in!"

"I do." Steph nods.
