* SHORT FAREWELL QUOTE IN THE MEDIA*

Epilogue

Laurel's POV

After the graduation ceremony, we all headed back to my house for a celebratory dinner. Sitting back, watching my family laugh, and joke, was the most beautiful sight I hope to ever see. All of us, seated around my parents' mahogany table bantering and teasing one another made everything we've been through these last few months even more special.

Cling, cling, cling, cling, cling.

"I'd like to propose a toast." Steph says, lifting her wine glass up in the air.

Everyone else does the same.

"I just want to say that these past few months have really changed my life...for the better of course." Steph smiles ruefully. "This family has grown tremendously."

I look around the table at all the people. My Dad, Steph, my Mom, Julia, Melony, and even Olivia decided to join.

"And I can honestly say, this is the happiest I've ever been in my life. I gained a sister that I never thought I'd have," Steph glances over at my mother. "I gained a daughter" she smiles at me "And in that I gained someone like a daughter."

I turn to my right and nudge Melony with my elbow and she laughs softly.

"And now we have 2 new members that I hope will be able to sustain all of our craziness."

Everyone at the table chuckles a little.

"I love you all very much, and I am so glad that God blessed me with all of your sweet spirits. So without further ado, let's make a toasts to our 2 graduates."

Steph moves her glass towards the middle of the table, and we all follow suit.

"I'm sure I speak for us all when I say, we wish you every bit of success and happiness in whatever you decide to do with your lives. Cheers."

"Cheers." We all say in unison.

I lift my glass up slightly, and bring it to my lips. Setting my glass down, I turn to my left, meeting the relaxed gaze of Julia.

"Tonight has been wonderful." Julia whispers to me, so not to interrupt the table's conversation.

"Really?" I ask, smiling softly.

"Absolutely. I love your family." She laughs beautifully.

"For now." I banter, rolling my eyes.

"As long as they're your family, I'll love them forever just as I will love you."

I sigh happily.

"I love you so much." I whisper, bringing my face closer to hers.

Slowly, our faces move closer to one another's until eventually our lips touch. The kiss is soft, sweet, and passionate. I can feel the love flowing through every vessel of her body. It's almost like im fell in love with her all over again.

"Okay you two love-birds." Someone calls.

I look up to see the whole table staring at us. I'm pretty sure my face is every shade of red. Julia laughs it off, kissing me quickly on my cheek.

********************

After dinner, Julia suggested we take a walk outside. The moonlight alluminated the darkness perfectly, as well as the stars that twinkled aimlessly throughout the sky. My heart was beating extremely fast as Julia and I walked out of my house hand-in-hand. Whether it have been from nervousness or excitement I wasn't sure, maybe a mixture of both. For us to finally be able to walk around in public together, as a couple.
