Briar's
It's Sunday afternoon after they came from an afternoon service from a church nearby. Then went straight to their favourite convenience store and bought some sweet wine. They don't drink hard liquor, so wine will be fine.
The three of them decided to celebrate after their nonstop working for two weddings in a month. Of course, they also need to celebrate their successful work. They have become increasingly popular because of the recommendations of their work.
But it's not just because of the successful work that they're celebrating. It's also a farewell party for her because she's about to fly back to Brazil to cater her best friend's wedding.
"Congratulations, Briar. Two successful weddings in just a month," greeted Laly.
"Thank you, Laly, it's our success; we are together here, me, you, and Jenny," she said, clinging to her arms with her two best friends.
"To our unstoppable success," Jenny said, raising her glass of wine for a toast.
"Yes to our success," she said, tossing her wine with the two.
Jenny did the same things.
"We are successful in our jobs, but not in love life," Jenny said.
"Hmm, I thought love life was not on your list," Laly said teasingly.
"Who said? I didn't say that. Who will be looking after me when I grow old?' Jenny replied.
"Ows? Really? I guess it's because of that Mr. Flavio," Laly replied teasingly.
"Uh, uh, no, no, no..." Jenny replied, nodding and waving her hand at the same time.
"If I know you have a crush on Lucas," Jenny continues.
"The two of you, you both forget the time when you were with them," she said.
"They are nice guys; they've known you since high school," Laly replied.
"I agree; they are nice, actually, "she agreed.
"True, and they are funny as well," Jenny said.
"Well, guys, you know that I'm going to Brazil tomorrow, so I think we have to go home and take a rest," she said.
She feels a little dizzy, actually.
"Sure, we need to get rest too because I feel tired of our nonstop ventures," Jenny replied.
"Me too," Laly seconded.
After their few more chit-chats, they clean up their mess in her studio, and after they bid their goodbyes, they all go home.
She washes up and brushes her teeth and changes her dress into nighties. She's
"Finally I'm off to my dreamland!" She said, slamming her body into her bed.
She's been working nonstop for a month. Two weddings in one month drained her power. It's not that she's complaining, but her other client was a spoilt brat. She wanted to cancel, but she controlled herself. Next time she will choose her client.
Thanks to her supportive friends and her crew, they made all the weddings their best. And because of all their hardships, they celebrated it. The reason why she's a little tipsy is that of their small celebration for their success. And because she has a flight the next morning, she couldn't stay long with her friends.
She talked to Jenny to take over the other booking if there will be one while she's gone. Actually, she made her a partner, but she hasn't told her yet. She will be going to surprise her when she returns from her assignment at her best friend's wedding.
She's so blessed having these people in her life. The crews that they have are all trustworthy; they will be a great help to Jenna while she's away. She has asked her to hire an assistant too.
Tomorrow she'll be flying to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She will plan her best friend's wedding. She's excited to do it.
She set the alarm before she said goodnight to the world.
She falls into sleep very fast because she's already a little tipsy.
----
Her alarm goes off at four thirty in the morning. She gets up and enters the bathroom. Her flight is at six thirty in the morning. She booked the early flight because she doesn't want to travel at night. She will only take a quick shower. After her shower, she dries her hair and ties it into a loose bun. She applied a lip gloss on her already rosy lips. She peels off her bathrobe and changes into the clothes she prepared the other day. Light blue, faded, fitted jeans; she rolled them up into half of her calves; she paired them with a three-fourths-sleeve, bluish plaid blouse. And put on her two-inch, black-heeled, low-cut boots. After she finished changing, she grabbed her black sling bag and pulled her suitcase under her bed.
She's ready to go.
The taxi she had booked yesterday is already waiting outside her house. She gets in, and the taxi drives off to the airport. She will arrive in Brazil at nine in the morning, Brazil time.
Miguel told her that they will fetch her from the airport.
The moment the taxi arrived at the airport, she quickly got out and paid her fare. Then she walks to check in her luggage and goes directly to the boarding area. She sits down and takes out her phone in her sling bag. She sends an SMS to Olga.
'Hi, Olga, I'll be in Rio De Janeiro by nine in the morning.'
'What are you going to do there? 'Olga replied.
'Remember Miguel, my best friend. He wants me to be his wedding planner.' She sends a reply.
'You mean his fiancée is from Brazil? 'Olga asks
'Not exactly. I'm not sure which parents are from Brazil.' Her reply
'So are you going to come here after the wedding?'Olga asks
'Probably, I miss Grandpa and Grandma already, she replies.
'Okay, just message me when you are coming,'Olga replied back.
She never replied to the last message Olga had sent. She will send her a message later when she arrives.
She just sits on one of the benches in the waiting area for boarding.
It seems like she just came from Brazil, and now she's coming back.
She forgot to tell her grandparents that she was going home. She quickly took out her phone and called them to inform them that she's coming.
Luckily there's still a chance before the announcement that their flight is now for boarding.
She stood up and lined up to enter the plane.
