Seventeen

Briar's POV

Since she has been speaking to the mayor before, getting a permit wasn't difficult to acquire. Besides, the mayor likes her idea that twenty percent of the payment for the wedding will be given for enhancing the waterfalls. They agreed not to touch it; they just wanted to make a descent natural path to the falls. A bit of cleaning of some weeds and dried leaves might help too, so that the trees will be healthier. They both agreed to preserve the real beauty of the falls, so there were no concrete things. Even the path, they're just going to put gravel and sand. No vehicles allowed inside.

With the permit in her hand from the mayor's office. She's so happy that the mayor has given her a favor that she can use the waterfall for those who wanted a waterfall ambiance in their wedding.

After she gets the permit, she's happy for the successful operation with the mayor, and she drives through Lily's Bridal Studio. It's almost eleven; the couple might be there already. She pulled out her mobile phone and dialed Lily's number. Lily answered in one ring; it seems that she's anticipating her call or that Laly is about to call her.

"Briar. Are you on your way now?" Laly asked directly, no more hello.

"Yes, have they arrived?" she replied.

"Yes, they just came in. They're in the reception lounge," Lily replied

"Thanks, Lee, I'll be there in five minutes." Then she hung up.

Lialy is her best friend. They went to the same school in Zurich, and they both finished their BSBM, but after they finished their degree, they both proceeded to pursue their passion. Lily took a fashion designer specializing in bridal gowns. Briar enrolled for a special diploma in wedding planning. While they are both still in school, they put up their own businesses, and they work side by side. They shared ideas in every field they do. They're both consultants for each other's business.

"Hello everyone!" She greeted as she came into Laly's Studio.

"Hello there!" Laly greeted her back, and they walked together to the couple. The couple stood up and acknowledged their presence.

"Hi Josef, Caren. This is Laly, the designer and owner of this Bridal Studio." She introduced the three.

"Nice to meet you, Laly; your works are incredible. I've seen most of the brides wearing your design," Caren praises Laly.

"Thank you, Caren. Hope you'll find the wedding gown of your dreams," Laly said to Caren

"I'm sure I can find what I like. Briar told me that all your designs are not identical to each of them. They are all different."

"That's right, if you can't find the gown that you like and you have something in mind, you can tell me, and then we will sketch according to your likeness," Laly said to her

"Wow, that's awesome. But we'll see first if I won't fall in love with one of your works," Caren replied.

"So, do you want Josef to see your gown, or do you want it as a surprise?" Briar asked Caren, smiling. She turned her gaze to Josef.

Caren's face lit up and said

"Hmmm, I think the surprise idea is great," she said, looking at her fiance with those mischievous smiles.

"Sorry, darling, but I guess this time, it's a women's moment." She pushed her fiance out in the studio and kissed him before she closed the door.

Josef is just shaking his head and smiling.

So the three of them scanned every selection. Caren has every comment in every gown she touches.

She chooses five for fitting.

"All of the gowns are incredible; it's too difficult to choose," Caren said to both of them. 

"But I think I love this one. Very simple yet classy and elegant," she said, holding up the gown she chooses.

"Okay, try it on," Laly told her

Caren went to the dressing room and put on the gown. 

When she came out, she and Jenna smiled in approval. 

They asked Caren to stand in the circle stage in the middle.

"Wow! You're stunning!" Laly said

"I agree," she said with a thumbs up.

"This is perfectly made for me. Thank you, ladies," Caren said. 

She could feel the happiness in her face as she turned to showcase the wedding gown. 

The next thing will be her shoes. Then the bridal bouquet. She already has a layout for the invitation; she will print a sample of it and show it to the couple when she's done.

She wanted to finish all the planning because she wants the couple to rest at least one month before the wedding. She doesn't like to see a wedding that is stressful.

After all the details she'll present to the couple are approved. 

She'll let them relax. 

She will give them a free voucher for a massage a few days before the wedding. 

Since the gown is approved. She advised the couple to have Josef's suit tailored. 

She called her that owns a tailoring shop so that the man would have his measurements.

After the call, she gave them the address of the tailoring shop. 

If not for her appointment with another client, she wanted to accompany them to the tailoring shop.

"We're fine, Briar, don't worry, we will manage. Beside, you already told your friend that we are coming." Josef assured her that she didn't need to worry.

"Thank you! I wish I really could accompany you there," she said.

After the couple was gone, she said goodbye to Laly. She needs to be back at her studio because she would be meeting her other client. 

She is thankful that the dates of the preferred weddings of her clients are in different months.

She could plan their wedding according to their preferences. And she will get them ready for their wedding. 

That's what she did at all previous weddings she catered. 

If there are any changes from the couple, she will handle it. She's built for flexibility. But if there are no changes, the couple will only show up for the wedding day.

She has arranged every wedding delicately; she made sure that everything is subtle; that's why she's one of the best wedding planners hired in their place and some neighboring cities.
