~Your POV~

We train in silence for a few hours before we break for lunch.

Ren leaves me in the training room, not telling me where the mess hall was. My stomach growls; I haven't eaten since I've gotten here. I leave to try to find it.

A half hour passes and I'm lost. The endless hallways seem to constantly repeat themselves and I'm getting no where. But when I go to turn another corner, I bump into something- no, someone.

"Watch where y-" Hux stops, then looks at me differently. His blue-green eyes land on my exposed midriff, which I instinctively cover with my arms. "Oh, it's just you."

"Sorry," I mumble. "I wasn't looking where I was going."

He shakes his head, his orange hair disheveled now. His thoughts were a bit jumbled, making hard for me to read them. He was certainly distracted, I didn't have to look into his mind to know that; his flustered cheeks said it all. "Or you're just lost."

"That too," I say.

He sighs. "Come on then. I'll show you where to go."

Hux leads me down a few corridors, making sure to point out the important things on the base to me. Like the mess hall, training areas for the Troopers...

"General," I say, stopping. "We passed the mess hall."

"I know we did," he says, turning towards me. "I saw that you didn't eat anything they gave you yesterday. That all came from the mess hall. I think Supreme Leader Snoke would want you to gain strength, so you'll be eating with high ranking First Order officials. So behave. I won't have you acting like Ren."

"Trust me when I say I'm nothing like him," I respond.

Hux gives me a look, which I a venomous mixture of a sneer and a smirk. He continues to walk, I follow along at a similar pace.

The doors that lead to the Officers' Mess Hall are huge, red slabs of metal. They open automatically once a keycard had be inserted in a panel next to it. Hux had unlimited access, he told me, to any room on the base. Only the highest ranking officials, like himself, had access to these cards. Not even Kylo Ren had one.

The room inside was large, bigger than the Dining Hall  back on D'Qar. There were many tables, all were black. Food was set up on carts on every corner of the large room; everything smelled tantalizing.

Hux nudges me forward. "Don't just stand there and drool. Go get something."

I looked back him. Hux might have had an annoyed expression, but his mind told me he found it amusing. I shook off the thought of his mental smirk as I grab a tray and a plate, and start to look around for something.

Food of every color and shape line the carts. There was some sort of meat that was green, blue-colored pudding, various colored salads and fruit. Anything anyone could name, would be there. I make my way to the cart with the green meat.

"That's brot-ribs," I hear Hux say behind me. "It's a delicacy. I suggest you try it."

"I thought that wasn't edible?" My confused expression made him roll his eyes.

"What planet are you from?" he asks, using a large knife to carve us both a piece. "This isn't poisonous. It's from a species known as 'brot' and it's actually delicious."

"Oh, I see," I tell him.

After putting a slice on both of our plates, he heads off to another area. I linger around the colorful salads, taking a spoonful to my plate. I look around a bit more, noticing Hux at a cart with blue bread. The bread looked appetizing, so I headed towards it.
