~Your POV~

A month passes.

Ren trained me everyday. Phasma led me everywhere without complaint. My lunches with Hux were an everyday thing now.

Today was different. Phasma never came to get me at the regular time of 8:00 am. I even woke up before she would've come to get me.

I was dressed in my usual workout gear that consisted of a sleeveless, black crop-top, black leggings that went to my knees and black shoes. I considered the crop-top a new trend of mine, even though I still got looks from just about everyone on base.

After waiting for about another hour, I finally leave my room to go search for Kylo Ren. My first stop was the training room; he wasn't there when I walked in. I'd go look for him in his private room, but I hadn't been there in over a month and it was the only place Phasma never took me to.  But everywhere else on base I had been to at least twice, so I knew the base like the back of my hand now.

My mind brought me General Hux's private office. I only knock once before the door slides open for me to enter. Hux stood with his back to me, facing the large viewport that overlooked brown, icy mountains.

"Where's Kylo Ren?" I ask.

"Why do you ask?" He turns to me. His bright, orange hair was slicked back like usual along with his signature black General's uniform and long coat. He also wore his black gloves.

"Phasma never came to get me earlier," I say. "I was just wondering if he forgot or something."

The General huffed. "Today's the one day he won't come out of his quarters."

"Do you know why?" My interest was sparking.

"No, and I really could care less," he says in all honesty. "Besides, Supreme Leader Snoke warned everyone not to press the subject."

If today was what I thought it was, then I knew the reason he was locking himself in his room. "General, what's today's date?"

Hux rolled his blue eyes before walking over to his desks that sat in the center of the office. The desk faced a painting that looked like it was of him and his parents. He took the datapad that was on his desk and activated it.

The blue light that came from the datapad brought me towards Hux. The date on the datapad didn't disappoint me. So I was right then: today was no other than Ben Solo's birthday.

"You satisfied now?" Hux asked, a little anxiously.

"Yes," I nod, trying to ignore Hux's emotions. "Where's the kitchen?"

"It's near the Officers' Mess Hall. Why?"  His question told me he was clearly confused.

"I need to make something," I tell him. "Can you show me to it?"

Hux groans, but leads me out of his office. The Officers' Mess Hall wasn't that far from his private office, so we made it to the kitchen. It was busy, with men and women busy making food. But Hux had ordered a handful of kitchen workers out so I could have space.

"You know I could just order someone to make you what you want?"

I don't answer him immediately, which only causes him to pace around. Instead, I start pulling out a pan and few bowls. "Go find me some carbosyrup."

In his mind, he's telling himself that he doesn't need to pace; that he could be doing something else and shouldn't waist his energy. Then his emotions change and he's angry. "Do you think you have the right to order me to do something?"

"Please?" I ask, a bit annoyed.

He sighs. "Fine."

I mentally smirk. He always gave in to that. In a fridge, he finds the carbosyrup easily. He hands it to me, where I put it next to the few bowls I pulled out.
