Thea:

Why was I so nervous? Why is it I could not find a word to say? "You look really nice" Draco smiled over to me as we sat in a train compartment together on our way to Hogsmeade.
"Thank you, you do too" I smile back blushing slightly. Are all dates this awkward? I wouldn't know.

"So I believe it is the lovely lady's choice on what we do first on our date to Hogsmeade, what will it be?" He asked
"Well, I don't know... Maybe The Three Broomsticks first off" I suggested.
"The Three Broomsticks, that could work quite well actually" he looked out of the window smiling.

Today Dracos smile was so warm it distracted me from the cold outside. Although the deep snow was there to remind me, my attention never left his prominent features.

We made our way off the train and walked along the slippery path together talking about a book Draco we both had read.
"But how does it work? I don't understand it" Draco questioned looking at me for the answers
"Magic" I chuckled "magic is what makes almost everything you know, Dray".
"Dray?" He rose an eyebrow
"Yeh" I laughed, "I thought I would attempt a nickname. after all, I say your name so often it'll probably be easier for both of us. do you like it?"
"Yeh I do, but I like when you say my name it... fits " he answered thoughtfully "though either will do".

We arrived at The Three Broomsticks just before our toes fell off from the cold air.
Draco held open the door, causing the bell to chime and I walked in. It was busy in the tavern, witches and wizards huddled together holding their pints, and their musical laughs filled the air. Glasses clinked, and people chattered. An orange glow of candlesticks illuminated the busy establishment, instantly warming my whole body.

"Butterbeer?" Draco asked when we finally attained an unoccupied table which was a surprise considering the number of people that surrounded us.
"Yes please" I take Dracos offer going into my purse to get some money.
"No don't worry I have it" Draco insisted noticing what I was reaching for
"But-" "no, I won't accept it! I am a part of one of the richest wizarding family's in the whole of Great Britain, I can get my date her drink" he interrupted then walked away. I huffed slumping in my chair waiting for his return with crossed arms.
"Show off" I scoffed.

"Hey" Neville sat down were Draco was originally sat
"Oh hey Nev" I smiled straightening my posture
"What are you doing here?" He asked, looking around for anyone I could be with.
"Date" I answered simply after debating with myself if I should tell the truth or not. My cheeks burned a light pink.
"A date? With who?" He tilted his head to the side
"No need to sound so shocked" I chuckled "the lad that's heading this way" I nodded my head towards Draco who was concentrating on not spilling the two drinks he had in his hands, I laughed slightly at the expressions he was making.
"Draco Malfoy?" He whispered harshly, and I nod to answer. "Thea I don't like this, I don't like him. Draco Malfoy, really?"
"Yes, he's amazing once you get to know him" I assured
"No, please don't. Anyone but him" Neville begged.
"She can look after herself Longbottom, besides I'm not that bad" Draco rolled his eyes placing the drinks in front of me, and Neville jumped in surprised.
"Of course, you're not. You're just an innocent old Malfoy" Neville clarified sarcastically then walked away over to Dean and Seamus from his own house.

Draco sat down in front of me and slowly took a sip from his brew.
"Don't listen to what everyone else says about me," he said after a while of silence "for them I put on a mask, it's the only way I can cope, but with you, it seems to disappear" he gave a weak smile and reached for my hand reassuringly.
I trusted him in his grip, and we laced fingers over the tabletop. The action was so sweet and wholesome, perhaps I could even go far as saying casual, but my whole body gave into his touch.
