The soundtrack of my heart
Is not for everyone to hear.
It's not for everyone to know.
For there are even days that I don't understand.

There are songs for the happy-
For the things that mean the world.
The times that make me smile.
The things that create memories.
These are the songs that make me remember.

There are songs for the disappointment-
For when everything falls apart.
The times that bring me down.
The things that I can't do to fix it.
These are the songs that make me try harder.

There are songs for the greatness-
For the days that are perfect.
The things that I do well.
The times that I can do no wrong.
These are the songs that I look back on.

There are songs for the sadness-
For when I break down in tears.
The things I seem to mess up.
The times I can't stop myself from failing.
These are the songs that I use to forget.

There are songs for the excitement-
For the thrill of an adventure.
The times that something great happens.
The things that I can control.
These are the songs that I use to fuel me.

There are songs for the mistakes-
For the times that I screwed things up.
The things that I said without thinking.
The times I solved the problem wrong.
These are the songs that I learn from.

There are songs for the achievements-
For the things that I have won.
The times that I overcame the problem.
For the things I solved out.
These are the songs that I want to repeat.

There are songs for the loss-
For the times where I wasn't strong enough to win.
The things that I gave up on.
The times that I no longer tried.
These are the songs that I want to forget.

There are songs for the hopeful-
For the things that I desire.
The times that I want nothing but the best.
The things that I pray for.
These are the songs that inspire me.

There are songs for the fearful-
For the times when I don't know what to do.
The things that I don't know how to say.
The times that I couldn't express myself.
These are the songs that make me brave.

There are songs for the goofy-
For the times when I can't stop laughing.
The things that make me who I am.
The times that I'm myself around the ones I love.
These are the songs that define who I am.

There are songs for the weak-
For the days where I can't go any further.
The times that it seems pointless.
The things that lose their meaning.
These are the songs that work to make me strong.

There are songs for the remembered-
For the memories that come in the middle of the night.
The times that come to me at random.
The things that can never be left alone.
These are the songs that bring me heartbreak and love.

There are songs for the forgotten-
For the things that are no longer important.
The times that nobody talks about anymore.
The things that were meant to be left in the past.
These are the songs that I won't listen to.

There are songs for the loved-
For the people who mean the world to me.
The things that I will never let go of.
The times that are too good to be forgotten.
These are the songs that I play on repeat and will never delete.

The soundtrack of my heart
Is one that will never be forgotten.
For there are good times and bad times
And times in between.
But these are the times that will guide me
And make me who I am.
