It only took one lie to cross your lips.
Because you thought the truth would be wrong.
And although the truth can hurt,
Lies are always much more dangerous.
It took one look to search your eyes and know.
That you were keeping things from me for safety of yourself.
And although you think it's right,
You've never been more wrong.
It only took one smile for you to flash and show me.
That you would never be there for me in the ways I needed.
And although, you try to talk to me,
You'll never get the words that you would once hear from me back.
It only took one lie to cross your lips.
And you ended my ties to you forever.
And although you think I'm your friend,
I see through you and I see something broken.
Because now that you tried to break me,
I won't be there to save you anymore.
