A field of roses in the spring
Has known no rule that from of king.
But queen instead, her crown in place.
She has no mercy, but does grace.
A fight of beauty no one sees
She tries herself to be set free.
A time of new she will create,
To set ablaze of which she hates.
A crack of flames from first the heat,
Alone she reigns, with no defeat.
She worries not of what she fears
For she has grown throughout the years.
She hides in shadows built of peace,
To maybe one day find release.
She needs no one to hold her hand,
She lives alone in her own land.
A field of roses in the spring
Do see their queen and then do sing.
She needs no king to take her place,
Our story now does end in grace.

I wrote this poem last year in my creative writing class and it is one of my absolute favorites. It's been a long time since i have updated on wattpad and updating with all these poems written in school might jump start me :)
