I say I'm tired,
But I mean I'm broken.
I show you I'm fine,
But really, I'm in pieces.
I smile too much,
Because I don't want you to worry.
I laugh too loud,
Because I don't want you to question me.
I keep everything in
Because I don't want to burden you.
I say one thing
That means another.
And do something
That means the opposite.
It's not you I'm worried about,
But infact, it's myself.
Because I know you can handle it,
But I don't know if I can.
I inflict the self hurting
Because I don't want to hurt you instead.
