I care too much-
About all the things I do.
And the high standards I set for myself.
For the ways that I cause myself stress,
And the ways that I shed all my tears.
I care too much-
About all the people I talk to.
And the ways that they treat me- fair and unjust alike.
For the times that they never ask me about my day,
And the times that they never show interest in my being.
I care too much-
About all the things we could be.
And the ways that you speak to me.
For the conversations where words are hardly exchanged,
And the conversations were everything is said at once.
I care too much-
About all the words that go unsaid.
And the phrases that no one speaks to me.
For the times where I need the words the most,
And the times that nobody pays attention... even when I do.
I care too much-
About all the wrong decisions of others.
And the morals that they are breaking.
For the wrongs that they commit by using drugs,
And the wrongs that they commit when they aren't smart with them.
I care too much-
About all the scenarios in my head.
And the days that are nothing near reality.
For the scenes where we are cared for as equals,
And for the scenes that everything in my life is okay.
But you,
You do not care at all-
About my entire being.
And all the things I say to you.
For the times I notice when you are down and out,
And the times when I am there, when no one else is.
You do not care at all-
About all the things I do for you,
And how every time I care.
For the times that you break me without realizing it,
And the times where you make me feel like nothing.
You are killing me,
And you do not care at all.
