All four of us stayed out on the balcony the entire night until the sun rose early the next morning. My mates were curled up into my side as we slept with my wings wrapped around them. I was glad that they finally relented and allowed me to sleep in my new form because after what I had just went through I wasn't prepared to shift back any time soon.
A warm body stirred on my side and I stilled hoping that they'd go back to sleep instead of waking up fully. I knew that if they awoke that I'd have to shift back soon enough and get looked at by Andrej and then we'd have to travel back and face all our problems.
I wanted to just live in this moment, except I wished that Owen and Declan were here with us. My heart clenched at the thought of those two back with Damien's father and me not able to protect them. Suddenly I had a change of heart. We needed to get going and head back as soon as possible.
The body stirred again and this time I hoped they woke up. Minutes later everyone had started slowly waking up and stretching out all the kinks. Craning my neck to the side I watched as Imani nuzzled his face into my side.
"Good morning Nick." He purred as he continued to rub his face against my side.
'Good morning Imani' I replied.
"Do you feel like shifting back yet?" Mateus asked as he ran his hands down my side in a soothing manner.
'I would prefer for Andrej to come and check me out before I shift so that I won't have to shift back any time soon.' I admitted.
As if on cue there was a loud knocking on the door that sent my mates into overprotective mode, which to me made no sense whatsoever. I was a huge griffin while they were all still in their human forms. Rolling my eyes I let out a sound similar to me scoffing at their actions.
"Who is it?" Mateus growled out loudly enough for whoever it was to hear it through the door.
"Um...It's me." Andrej called out from behind the door and soon my mates calmed down.
I watched as Mateus walked from the balcony, through the room and to the door. Many naughty thoughts flashed through my mind as I watched him move through the room with such grace and power. Leave it to him to seduce me simply by walking.
"Really Nick? You choose now?" Damien scoffed causing me to look down at him in confusion.
"You're practically broadcasting your thoughts to us right now." Imani groaned.
If I could blush in this form I'm sure my entire body would be entirely red. I groaned as I mentally set up barriers hoping that the problem would be solved. A deep chuckle from Mateus let me know that he too had received those images. He reached out and pulled open the door revealing an anxious looking Andrej.
"Did he come back yet? Is he okay? Has he contacted you? Oh Zeus I hope he's alright. Please tell me he's alright." He spoke quickly without a single breath as he stood in the doorway bouncing on the heel of his feet.
"Calm down Andrej." Mateus laughed as he gestured for him to come into the room.
"So he's okay?" He questioned as he spun around to face his brother.
It warmed my heart to see how concerned Andrej was for my safety. Judging by his appearance I knew that he had probably ran over here as soon as he realized it was morning. Andrej was still in what I would assume was his pajamas.
He was wearing a large shirt that was way too big for him accompanied by a pair of black little shorts. His hair was pulled back into a casual pony tail with little strands of hair falling down the side of his face.
