'I have to go now but just know that they're going to try and figure out how to get this shifter power from me. They found witches and healers so follow that lead or whatever. I love you guys and tell the kids I love them too. I won't stop fighting regardless of what I said before, I'm ready to fight and I hope you'll be right there with me.' He told us before a sense of pain washed over us.
'We love you.' Imani whispered as he clutched my arm, holding it for support.
'We won't stop looking for you babe.' Came Damien's reply as he climbed onto the bed sitting beside Imani and I.
'We'll find you before it's too late.' I finally spoke just as I felt Nicholai slip into nothingness.
"This isn't fair." Imani sniffled as he buried his face into my chest.
It had been almost three weeks since the cowardly sneak attack on us and we were in so much pain. There were times when we could feel Nick's pain and we knew that we would only be feeling it if it was truly great. It killed us that we had no idea where he was but for whatever reason I thanked the fates that we could talk to him today.
"I know it's not but we just have to hang in there and find him. We will find him and when we do may God help Sergei." I growled out viciously.
"So what do we do first?" Damien question as he wrapped an arm around Imani's waist as he moved even closer.
"We're going to have to split up for this one. Damien I want you to call up Aiden and let them know that we finally got in contact with Nick. Explain everything that's happened and tell the brother's to get down here as soon as possible.
Imani I need you to look into the who healer and witch thing that Nick was talking about. If Sergei wanted to find out what to do with Nick I'm sure he went to a lot of people to find the best of the best out there. He's obviously not hiding out on his old pack lands so we need to find out where he's at now." I delegated.
Damien and Imani instantly got up and rushed around the room finding some decent clothes to throw on. Since we had woken up and Nick was gone we hadn't really been doing much besides sulking after we realized that we couldn't find him.
The kids had completely withdrawn from everyone and stayed in their rooms as well. Thy barely ate anymore and at nights the sound of soft crying woke us up. We tried plenty of times to comfort them but it only resulted in all seven of us lying in the large Master bed bawling our eyes out.
"What are you going to do?" Damien questioned as he slid on a pair of black jeans pants.
Damien was the first one to crack when we first realized all that happened. He cried every night when we first awoke and realized that Nick was gone. He closed himself off from everyone else for a while until Imani and I sat him down and really talked to him. After that he opened up a little more but he was still wasn't completely back to normal.
"I'm going to go talk to the kids before I head out and try to figure out a plan of attack for when we find Nick. We may have a few tricks up our sleeve but we need to be prepared for every and anything." I answered.
"Sounds good. How about we all meet back in here with the kids in say...two hours?" Imani questioned as he pulled a plain white shirt over his head.
He ran his hand through his short hair and pushed it out of his face. His tired eyes stared at me in question waiting for my reply. All I could do was nod and hope beyond all hope that we found our lost mate. I don't think any of us could handle this torture anymore.
