"Manong, diyan na lang po sa gilid."

Iginilid naman ng driver ang taxi sa may gilid ng sidewalk.

"50 pesos, ma'am."

Nagtaka ako sa sinabing halaga ng driver. 50 pesos? Ang mura naman! Eh 'yung driver nga namin, 8 000 kada buwan ang sahod, tapos stay-in pa.

"Po?" Baka kasi mali lang ang nadinig ko.

"50 pesos, iha."

50 pesos talaga?

Naglabas ako ng 100 hundred pesos sa wallet ko at ibinayad iyon sa driver.

"Kuya, keep the change na lang po."

"Ay, salamat iha."

Bumaba na ako sa taxi. This is actually my first time to commute. Palagi kasi akong hatid-sundo ng family driver namin. Pero ngayon, magpapaka-poor kid muna ako.

Pagkapasok ko sa campus, lahat ng mata ay nakatingin sa 'kin. What? Did I do something wrong?

Nagpatuloy na lang akong lumakad papunta sa room ko.

By the way, my name is Leah Rodriguez but they call me Eya. I'm a Fourth year student of Oxford Academy. 16 years old

Anyway, Campus Royalties are the top 10 achievers in the whole Fourth year level here. But, only the rich, handsome and beautiful students can become Royalties. Unfair right? But, I'm rank 1 this year, and that explains why I'm famous.

Back to the story.

"Eyaa!!!!" tawag ni Michelle sa 'kin. "Miss Javier called for us."

"Okay."

Dumiretso kami ni Michelle-Michie for short sa room at konting kembot lang at nakarating na kami.

"Good morning, Ms. Javier." Michie and I greeted in unison.

"Ooohh, so you're here already. You may sit."

"Why did you call for us, Miss Javier?" I asked

"I just wanna update you about the film showing. It was moved to 1:00 in the afternoon."

"But Miss Javier, ---" magrereklamo pa sana si Michie pero nagsalita si Miss Javier.

"No buts. You heard it right. You may go"

"Thank you Miss Javier." Sabi namin ni Michie atsaka lumabas sa room.
