Today I was going on the Ellen show for the first time since Adam and I got engaged. I hadn't actually bee on the show since I had released 1989, since I hadn't released any new music, so hadn't been through the whole 'How's Adam?' questioning yet. I knew it was going to come up today, though. I was going to be releasing my new album soon, and the first announcement had been put out this morning and the album was going to be released next week, on Thursday 13th October, so the atmosphere was very exciting with the whole team. Adam wasn't here today since he had back-to-back festival on the east coast yesterday and Vegas today and tomorrow, but he'd been sending me excited messages and funny pictures all morning.

"Are you ready?" Tree asked as the final touches were put on my hair and makeup.

"Ready as I ever am..." I said, laughing off any nerves.

"Taylor, you're up in 3 minutes." A crewmember said.

"Thanks!" I replied, smiling, "And you promise there aren't going to be any surprises?" I asked Tree, who smiled suspiciously.

"Nothing bad, I promise." She said, before turning away with a wave as the music started playing for me to walk out.

Of course the music Ellen chose to play was one of Adam's most recent singles which was almost too overtly about me.... Here it goes!

The interview was going really well. Ellen had yet to bring up Adam very much, apart from mentioning I must have had great inspiration for some of my new songs which I had indicated were happier love songs than anything else and to congratulate me on getting engaged, and there hadn't been any big surprises.... I thought I might be in the clear for this visit.... But I had my doubts.... It WAS Ellen after all.

"So I thought we could play a little game.... it's one of my personal favorites.... We can get the REAL answers from the nation's favorite pop queen in a game of NEVER EVER HAVE I EVER...like ever!" Ellen announced.

The audience cheered and I rolled my eyes slightly at the puns she was trying to make, but didn't let my smile slip.

"But first we have a special guest to play with us... to make it more fun for all of us, of course.... You're going to like this one, Taylor!" Ellen said, winking at me and the music started to play and the sliding doors opened to reveal the one person I hadn't expected.

I was thinking it would be one of my friends, like Selena, or my mom or something.... Not Adam!

I gasped and covered my mouth with my hands as I stood up slowly as he walked out, waving at the crowds as he did and winking at me.

"CALVIN HARRIS EVERYONE!" Ellen called out, making the audience cheer again.

"Hey babe...Surprise!" He said as he gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek, as we were acutely aware of the audience, before hugging Ellen as well.

"After the break we will start the game!" Ellen announced as the crew started swapping my chair for a small sofa.

"How are you here?" I asked Adam as we sat down and I leaned against him slightly. We had seen each other just a couple of days earlier, but it felt like forever.

"Well.... Ellen contacted me and asked if I'd like to surprise you and play a game... and you know me and games... so I couldn't resist it!" Adam said, intertwining our fingers together as Ellen came back from getting her make up touched up.

"Aww look at you two! So cute!" Ellen said, making us both laugh as the show came back from break, "Welcome back everyone! So we have Taylor Swift and her fiancé Calvin Harris here for an epic game..... Ready to reveal the real facts?"
