ADAM POV

The last 10 days had been amazing. More amazing than any 10 days of my whole life. And all of my happiness was down to one person.

Somehow, in the crazy world we lived in full of award shows and performances, we had only met for the first time at the Elle Style Awards in London. Of course I had seen her before – many times – but we had never met, until Ellie introduced Taylor to me, almost in passing as we all mingled at the event. I was toast front that moment on. I couldn't draw my eyes away from her, every so often catching her eyes and making her blush. She had an immediate effect on me that I could only describe as a lightning bolt coursing through my body.

In less than two weeks we had gone from just meeting to dating...not officially...yet. It wasn't one of those corny high school romance things.... It was like two magnets that come together and you know you are unlikely to get apart again – we both knew this was what it was: fate.

Only a few people actually knew that we had met up over the last couple of weeks, and I wanted to keep it that way as long as I could. Theo and Mark knew we had spoken at the BRITS after party, since they were there, but since then I had stayed pretty mum about the whole thing.

"Where have you been mate?" Connor asked as I got into the studio. He was taking photos of me in the studio to use for promotion or something while he was in LA.

I looked around and found Charlie and Burns were there too, just hanging out on the sofa, scrolling through things on their phones.

"Sorry....um... late night working." I said pathetically, hoping they would buy it. It wasn't totally a lie... I had been up late. I had been at Taylor's house until just past 1am, not staying over but definitely staying late.

"Yeah...right... you were here working last night." Burns said, rolling his eyes, "And I'm a flying pig."

I just looked at him weirdly as Charlie burst into laughter.

"Mate, WE were here last night.... All 3 of us.... playing video games on the big screen." Charlie said, making me freeze on the spot.

Burns and I shared a studio space.... Well I had a studio space and he used it sometimes. A few months ago we had put in a giant flat screen and a few game systems, so we'd have something to do when we were waiting for things to process on the computer or just wanted to hang out and ignore work.

"Sooooo...... where were YOU?" Connor asked, smirking as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"In other words... Who is she?" Burns added, also smirking at me as they all stared.

I vehemently ignored them all and started work, watching out of the corner of my eye as they all rolled their eyes at each other and shrugged.

"Hey, have you heard from Taylor at all? Mark said you really hit it off at that Brits after party." Charlie asked, making me freeze again.

"Taylor... as in Swift?" Connor asked excitedly, making me smirk to myself. Ironically, my friends were total 'Swifties', as Taylor put it.

"That's the one." I said, not able to wipe the smile that crept onto my face as I thought about her however hard I tried to.

"Wait.... Back up.... You met Taylor Swift and completely failed to mention it?" Connor asked again, making e chuckle.

"Sorry?" I said, shrugging, "I didn't realise you were such a...um...fan."

"She's literally a goddess! When she performs...total babe! I have literally listened to the whole of her new album, you know 1989, a billion times. I even stayed up late a few times, just to finish listening to it!" Connor said, starting to go on and on about how amazing Taylor was.

I couldn't help but agree, but at the same time it did kind of bother me a smidge. I could let it go pretty easily.... Until Charlie and Burns got in on it too.

"I've had dreams about her to be honest...." Burns said, shrugging.

"You should've seen her at the BRITS! Her performance was on fire! And she looked like a model!" Charlie added.

I tried to concentrate on replying to some emails, and ignoring them as they spoke about Taylor, hoping they would change subject soon. That was until my phone vibrated on the other end of the coffee table with a new message. I literally jumped 2 meters into the air as I tried to get to it before one of the guys, but I was too slow.

Charlie looked at it and gasped, raising his eyebrows as he looked at me, and I looked everywhere but him.

"Who is it from?" Burns asked.

"Well, well, well... Somebody has been keeping a pretty major secret from us.... And I'm impressed how little of a reaction our conversation got from you!" Charlie said, royally smirking as he cleared his throat and read the message, "Hey Adam! Why does Meredith like you better than me? See you later! xx"

"Who is Meredith? Who is it from?" Burns asked impatiently.

"The one and only.... Brace yourselves, this is HUGE.... Taylor Swift!!!" Charlie said triumphantly.

Connor and Burns turned to me, their mouths agape and eyes huge.

"You.... are.... what?" Connor said.

I realised there was only one way out of this.

"Um, so...yeah..." I started to say, "As Charlie said, we really hit it off when we were in London, and I guess since then, um, we've kind of been meeting up and hanging out.... Not exactly dating.... yet.... but...yeah."

"This is MAJOR news!" Connor said, snapping a photo, "It needs documenting, obviously!"

"Can I have my phone back?" I asked Charlie firmly, who handed it back with a chuckle.

They were all silent for a moment, until I was just about to start working again thinking they had dropped the whole thing.

"Just don't break her heart.... I don't want to hear another track like 'All too well'.... That was painful." Connor said, pointing right at me.

"Oh yeah... you could really feel that pain..." Charlie added, nodding seriously.

"Are you guys, like, the weirdest and most secret Taylor Swift fan club ever or something?" I asked them, shaking my head slightly at how weird this day had become.

"We appreciate good music.... And genuine people." Burns said, with a shrug, "So when do we get to meet your new missus?"

"Until I know you aren't all going to flip out over her, it's not going to happen." I said, making them all start begging me pathetically. "I'll talk to her.... Just.... Keep this to yourself until I tell you otherwise. I don't need a big deal made of the fact that I may be sort of dating her. I don't want that. The less attention the better right now, for both of us, until we figure this all out."

"Got it boss!" Charlie said, giving me one nod as the others nodded too.

"Now that is all sorted, I guess we should get some work done." I said.

"Just one question... who's Meredith?" Charlie asked.
