Chapter 26: Isolation

JASON'S P.O.V
People usually can't wait to get out of hospital, but me, I was ready to fake being sick to stay in here. As soon as I got out, the cops were going to put me into an isolation cell, where I could be in for up to weeks, even months. I couldn't go that long without seeing Jess. "Alright Jason, let me get the drip out of your arm, then you can leave." I sighed, letting the nurse take the drip out of my arm. I looked at Jess who was in Lisa's arms, tears streaming down her rosy cheeks. I got up from my bed, pulling her into my arms. "It's okay Jess... it's gonna be okay..." She held onto me tightly. A cop was waiting with a pair of handcuffs. "It's gonna be okay I promise..."
"I'm gonna miss you so much..." I started tearing up. I wiped her tears, giving her a gentle kiss. "It's gonna be okay..." I stood up, as one of the officers grabbed my hands putting them behind my back, handcuffing them together, and walking me out of the room.

JESS'S P.O.V
I watched as they took Jason down the hall, so I ran down the hall to Jason. "JASON!!" I saw him turn around. I couldn't help but hug him tighter than ever. "I won't let them take you!!"
"Sorry Miss, but this is only until the court day..."
"Yeah which more than likey won't happen in months!!" I saw the agent come walking towards me. He put his hand on my shoulder. "The court day is Wednesday next week. You can last at least 3 days without him right?" I shook my head. Lisa came running up. "It's okay Jess we can go see a movie or something just something to occupy you for the 3 days!"

"If you're gonna lock Jason up then lock me up with him."
"Jess, no..." Jason looked at me with a sad expression. "Go home to your family... I bet they miss you..."
"My mom is out in the waiting room. She can drive us home..." I looked at Jason. He smiled at me. "I'll be okay." I decided to give him one last tight hug and a big, long kiss. "Promise me you'll be okay Jess..." I fought back tears. "I promise..." I watched as the officers and the agent escorted him out of the hospital. "Come on Jess..." I looked at Jason one last time, and he looked back giving me a smile with a tear rolling down his cheek. "I love you..." The last thing I saw was him getting pushed gently into the back of the police car, and the car speeding off. "Come on Jess..." Lisa grabbed my arm and we walked to the waiting room where Lisa's mom was.

JASON'S P.O.V
I stayed quiet the whole trip to the police station. I looked out the window. I was a bit nervous about this court day. The agent was sitting in the back seat with me. "I believe you're innocent Jason." I gave him a look of surprise. "Really?!"
"Yes... you and that girl seem very close too..." I blushed. "It's okay McCann we'll win the court case." I sighed as I felt the car come to a stop. I saw my door open and the officer grabbing me, helping me out. They walked me into the station and into an isolation cell. "Sorry Jason, but all the cells are full at the moment. You're gonna have to share..." The officer uncuffed me as I was pushed into one of the cells, the door closing behind me. I was shocked who I saw. "MATT?!"
"JASON LITTLE DUDE!" I went wide-eyed. "WHAT ARE YOU..."
"They kinda found out I shot some of the cops with my shotgun and now here I am!"
"Going to court too?"
"Yep. Either jail time or a fine" I nodded, sitting on the ground. "I'm going to court too..."
"What for?"
"To prove my innocence..."
"Ohhh that's cool man."
"I guess..." I put my back up against the wall. I was happy I was in a cell with someone I knew, not like I was in one with a murderer. I wouldn't last 3 seconds... "So whatcha been up to lately man?"
"Well, I ended up in hospital because of my stomach..."
"Gnarly man..." I sighed. I wish these 3 days would hurry... I missed Jess already.

JESS'S P.O.V
I arrived home. I walked inside and went straight up to my room. I really did not feel like talking to anyone right now. I wanted to be with Jason. I wanted to be in his arms, snuggled up in my bed watching a movie, feeling his gentle, sweet kisses. I was nervous how this court case was gonna go. I would do anything to prove he's innocent. I sat on my floor, looking down. I sighed. I missed Jason already. "Jess, sweetheart...?" I saw my mom standing in the doorway. "Would you like some lunch...?" I shook my head slowly. My mom gave me a 'aw it's okay...' look while walking towards me and sitting down beside me, pulling me into a hug. "I know you love Jason, but he belongs in jail..."
"No he doesn't mom! You don't know him! I am the only person in this world who does, and he does NOT deserve to be in jail! He deserves to have a normal teenage life!!"
"But he's a criminal..."
"HE IS NOT A CRIMINAL!" I got mad, knowing people only new Jason from doing horrible things when he never even did them, well this court case was gonna prove once and for all, Jason McCann was innocent.
