Chapter 8: Broken

When I finally got home, I sat in my room with tears streaming down my face. Lisa sat beside me. "Look on the bright side... Johnson can look after him again..." I didn't reply. I was too busy crying and thinking of Jason with his arms wrapped around me. "Jess I'm so sorry..." I heard a news report coming from the living room. "Jason McCann has been shot dead. Residents can now live in peace." Lisa got up closing my door then came back over wrapping her arms around me pulling me into a tight hug. "Jason wouldn't want you to cry....."
"HE WAS INNOCENT AND NOBODY SAW THAT!! I WAS IN LOVE WITH HIM AND NOBODY SAW THAT!" I cried even harder screaming at the top of my lungs. "I know Jess... I know..." I wiped my tears. "I didn't even get to tell him....."
"Tell him what..?" I looked at Lisa.
"Me and Jason were at a motel and...." I looked down at my stomach stroking it, crying even harder. " I think I'm pregnant with his baby..." Lisa looked at me with wide eyes as she began to cry. "Oh my god Jess..."

I never knew I would lose Jason like this... I didn't think I'd lose him at all... I looked up at the sky at all the stars. I knew Jason has become a star now. They always said when you die, you become one of the stars, where then they'd watch over you "Goodbye Jason... I love you... so much..." I closed my eyes. "I know you're with Alex and Johnson again... I'll always love you..." I stroked my stomach looking down. I could see Lisa was in tears. She hugged me resting her chin on my shoulder looking up at the stars too. "Jason will always live on in our hearts..."

All the memories and the adventures I had with Jason ran through my head... like the time where it was cold and he gave me his jacket... our first kiss... when I saw him cry for the first time... our date at the beach... the slow dance at the party... when we made love for the first time... when we were snuggled up in each others arms asleep... when he always stared into my eyes smiling... when he always said "I love you"...

I thought this was gonna be a happy ending... but no, this is the most horrible thing that's ever happened to me. I'll never be the same again..........
