Chapter 3: De Ja Vu

JESS'S P.O.V
Jason shot up out of the bed quickly putting his clothes back on. We heard a knock at the front door. "POLICE OPEN UP!" Jason and I looked at each other. "What do we do?!" Jason smiled at me, pulling out his gun from his jacket. We heard the front door crash open. "MCCANN WE KNOW YOU'RE IN HERE." I watched as Jason opened the bed room door gently. "Jess, get under the bed..." I nodded quickly getting under the bed.

JASON'S P.O.V
I peeked out of the door and saw the cops looking around. "MCCANN COME OUT." I aimed my gun through the gap of the door, pulling the trigger. I watched as one of the cops fell to the ground. The rest of them got their guns out, shooting where my shot camr from. I quickly ran over to Jess and crouched next to her to avoid the flying bullets coming through the wall. Jess covered her ears. The shots stopped. Suddenly, one of the cops opened the door and walked in. I quickly got up, shooting him in the chest. "Come on Jess!" I pulled Jess out from under the bed helping her stand up. I snuck over to the door, opening it up. "I think there was only two of them..." I walked out, scanning around the room. "All clear..." I could feel Jess gripping my arm tightly. I felt someone watching us. I looked around. I saw something moving behind the couch. I pulled out my gun and shot at the couch. Suddenly a cop came up, I pushed Jess out of the way and ducked down. I shot at the cop again, getting him in the chest. I took a deep breath. "They found us... so we gotta move on." I helped Jess up, running out of the room and outside. I opened the back door of the car as Jess quickly jumped in. I got into the drivers side, quickly driving off.

JESS'S P.O.V
How did the police know we were there? I sighed as we drove off back down the road. "Are you okay Jess?"
"I'm fine!" Suddenly I heard sirens behind us again. "They found us..." Jason drove faster, the cop cars right on our tail. "MCCANN STOP YOUR CAR!" I heard a cop talking through a megaphone. "STOP THE CAR?"
"How about no!" Jason tried to drive faster, but the cops just kept gaining on us. Jason looked to the side of him. "Jess are you holding on?"
"Why?"
"Because I'd hold on!!" I went with what Jason was saying and held onto the rail above the door. "Brace yourself!!" Jason then drove the car off the road and to a cliff. "JASON NO!!!!"
"JUST HOLD ON!!" I screamed as we plumitted off the cliff. "JASON!!!!!"
"JUST HOLD ON!!" De ja vu. I looked down and saw a river. "OH PLEASE GOD LET US LAND IN THE RIVER." I closed my eyes as we landed at the bottom of the cliff.

I felt the water come up to my ankles. Jason quickly got me out and dragged me up to land laying me down. He sat my head in his lap. I looked up and watched the car sink in the water. "Are you alright Jess?"
"Yeah... I think so..." I sat up. Jason wiped some blood from my arm. "It's not like it was the first time you've been driven off a cliff by me." Jason laughed at me. "Very funny..." I stood up. "Where are we?" I looked around and saw only forest. Yep. De ja vu. I sighed as Jason stood up grabbing hold of my hand. "Come on babe..." I walked with Jason through the forest walking in a straight line. I started huffing and puffing. "Jason, I need a break..." I sat down on a tree root.
"Jess are you feeling okay?" I felt my stomach doing back flips. "Yeah..." Jason sat down next to me pulling me into his arms. "It's okay Jess..." I got my breath back. Jason shot his head up listening to something. "You hear that..."
"No... what is it...?" Jason stood up.
"It sounds like... cars. come on!" Jason grabbed me and we ran through the forest.

We came out and we saw a road and a little farm. Jason looked both ways down the road before we both ran across. "We'll hide out here..." I followed Jason into a barn. "Great. I had to share a hide out with horrible stinky animals." I sat down. Jason went over and pet some horses. The horse let out a loud neigh. "WHO'S IN THERE?!" I looked over at the barns doors as we could hear footsteps coming closer. "Jason..."
"SHH!" Jason grabbed me as he pulled me into a hay stack. We were in so much trouble...
