Chapter 7: Caught

JESS'S P.O.V
I woke up to the sound of voices. "Jason!!" I shook him awake.
"What...?"
"I think they're here!!" Jason quickly got up as he saw movement coming from beside us. "JESS GET UP" Jason pulled me up and grabbed my arm. He ran through the forest faster than he has any other time. "THEY'RE OVER THERE!" Jason and I ran out of the forest and I saw him fall to the ground after running into someone. "JASON!!" I helped him up and looked around. We were in a circle of cops. "Oh crap..." Jason gulped as one of the main cops walked out to Jason with a gun in hand. "Hello there McCann... fancy seeing you here..." I held onto Jason's hand. I felt him shaking. The main cop aimed the gun at Jason. "NO DON'T!!" I stood infront of him. "Please... please don't kill him... please...." I started to cry, I knew exactly what they were gonna do to him.

"Please... please don't shoot my baby..." I saw Jason crying. "If you're gonna shoot him... then shoot me too..." The cop lowered his gun. "Jess!" I saw Lisa and my mom standing with the cops. "Guys!!" Jason made me face him. "Jess... promise me you'll be good..."
"What do you mean...?"
"And know, I'll always, ALWAYS love you..."
"Jason what are you talking about?!" I let the tears stream down my face as Jason gave me a long, passionate kiss. "I love you Jess..." Jason stood out in front of me looking at the main cop. Jason put his hands behind his head. "I give up......."
"JASON NO!!!" I saw the cop raise his gun and aiming it at Jason. "NO PLEASE DON'T-" Too late. I heard a bang, and I saw Jason fall to the ground. "JASON NO!!!!" I kneeled down beside him, putting his head in my lap. "JASON COME ON STAY WITH ME PLEASE." Jason looked up at me, just reaching my cheek with his shaking hand. I grabbed his hand holding it to my cheek. "Jess... look after yourself..." He smiled at me, his eyes barely open. "No Jason come on you're gonna be okay... YOU'RE GONNA BE OKAY!!" I saw a tear roll down his cheek. "JASON PLEASE"
"I love you Jess..."
"I love you more..." Jason took his last breath as I watched him close his eyes. "JASON NO PLEASE!!" I shook him. No response. "Jason...?" I saw a final tear rolling down his cheek. I shook my head, bursting out in tears. "JASON NO!!!!" I put my head to his bloody chest. "JASON PLEASE... PLEASE WAKE UP... PLEASE!!!" I felt someone's arms wrap around me. It was Lisa's. "Jess I am so sorry..." She gently picked me up. She was crying too. I watched as paramedics covered Jason's body with a sheet. "JASON!!!!" I had tears streaming down my face as I was put into a car. I put my hands on the window looking at his body. "JASON!!" The car sped off...
